Hello movie lovers and video game lovers too! Currently the character Mario Bros is well known and it is that over the years, this nice plumber managed to win the hearts of the players with his adventures, remaining one of the most popular video games in the world. But, those who are from my time, not only remember what would be the first Mario Bros game, but also their first attempt at a movie... I call it that way because at the time, it was a total failure ha ha I still do I remember, even though I was a girl, I knew enough about the game to have an expectation of what I would see in the film, being disappointed by so many bizarre changes 😅 As expected, everyone was on edge when it was released. announced the release of a new Mario Bros movie, given that before the aforementioned failure, the Nintendo company had not wanted to risk a second time, keeping the movie projects of their games, shelved. Although, luckily for the fans, "Everything has its moment" and that's how the long-awaited moment came to see the mustachioed plumber on the big screen again.

It all begins in New York City, where enthusiastic brothers Mario and Luigi decide to take a chance and start their plumbing business. And even though they are completely excited, many around them do not trust that they made a good decision. Among them, their father, who not only disapproves of the brothers' business idea, but has never shown support for the brothers. Despite the fact that his relatives and acquaintances do not seem to take them seriously, Mario is determined not to give in, with complete confidence in his ability to always give his best effort, he is sure that only success awaits them. Luigi, on his side, is just as happy to be able to start this new stage with his brother and despite all the negativity that he seems to be about them, the trust towards the other is quite strong.

When a news report on television reveals that important pipes have broken in the center of the city, Mario sees this as an opportunity to show everyone what they are capable of and they head to where the problem is with the determination to repair it. In this way, the brothers end up accessing the sewers, but in the middle of their checkup, they are absorbed by a huge tube that ends up separating them and transporting them to a completely unknown and fantastic world.

Mario reaches the Mushroom Kingdom where it doesn't take long for him to meet Toad, a mushroom creature that leads him to meet Princess Peach, the monarch of that kingdom that is not only a human, but also a brave warrior who soon puts Mario's skills to the test when he confesses to her about his desire to go to the area where he observed his brother heading. Peach warns the plumber that the land where Luigi has fallen belongs to King Bowser and that it is a suicide mission. Despite the princess's warnings, Mario remains in his decision to head to the Dark Lands and rescue his brother. The bravery on Mario's part is to the liking of the princess and she decides that she will not only accompany him on his journey, but also asks him to help her recruit the forces of the Kongs and thus be able to defeat Bowser, before he succeeds. his mission to seize all the kingdoms. Mario accepts with complete determination, because he feels that it is the right thing to do.

[Click to read my opinion about the movie] As expected, I was one of the many people who awaited the release of this film, with high expectations knowing that none other than the Illumination studio had the important task of bringing Nintendo's image to life. I really liked the animation in general, the character design is not only pretty but it is quite colorful and that is one of my weaknesses.
In general, I didn't have an idea as such of how I imagined the plot to be, but it was quite interesting that they focused it on the origins of the characters. The brotherhood of Mario and Luigi seemed quite tender to me, since I have always been struck by those brothers who overprotect and care for each other so much (my brothers are very independent between us), so the fact that who Mario had to rescue, went to his brother instead of the princess, I think it was a nice touch.
I also liked Bowser's personality, being evil but with the tender and loving side of him ha ha I love characters of this type.
Another very attractive point for me was Mario's personality. That desire to excel and to try things no matter how many times they were necessary, although it may seem like the characteristics of a stubborn person, it really is worthy of admiration. Many of us abandon projects or goals at the first sign of failure, guided by fear, without realizing that many times, this paved path and full of difficulties will become easier as we progress, because each setback is an experience. that helps us to "level up" as they say, if we learn from it.
Without a doubt, after this incredible work by Illumination, it is more than clear that the doors to future Nintendo films have been opened. For my part, I look forward to the movie based on The legend of Zelda, another video game that I grew up with and that is the favorite of many.
Thanks to this film, you can see when things are made with the fans in mind, looking for the final result to reflect the essence of the original product. But one of the best things is that the first Mario movie, which was a total flop, increased its sales and popularity after its premiere, which shows what I mentioned at the beginning of the post: "Everything has its moment".

¡Hola a los amantes de las películas y de los videojuegos también! Actualmente el personaje Mario Bros es muy conocido y es que a lo largo de los años, éste simpático fontanero logró ganarse el corazón de los jugadores con sus aventuras, manteniéndose como uno de los videojuegos más populares del mundo. Pero, los que son de mi época, no sólo recuerdan lo que sería el primer juego de Mario Bros, sino también su primer intento de película... Lo llamo de éste modo porque en su momento, fue un fracaso total ja ja todavía lo recuerdo, a pesar de que era una niña, conocía lo suficiente del juego como para tener una expectativa de lo que vería en el filme, llevándome una decepción ante tantos cambios tan bizarros 😅 Como era de esperarse, todo el mundo estaba en ascuas cuando fue anunciado el lanzamiento de una nueva película de Mario Bros, siendo que ante el fracaso ya mencionado, la compañía Nintendo no había querido arriesgarse una segunda vez, manteniendo los proyectos sobre películas de sus juegos, engavetados. Aunque, para suerte de los fans "Todo tiene su momento" y así fue como llegó el tan esperado instante para volver a ver al fontanero bigotudo en la pantalla grande.

Todo comienza en la ciudad de nueva York, en donde los hermanos entusiastas, Mario y Luigi, deciden arriesgarse e iniciar su negocio de plomería. Y a pesar de que están completamente emocionados, muchos a su alrededor no confían en que tomaron una buena decisión. Entre ellos, el padre de ambos, quién no sólo desaprueba la idea del negocio de los hermanos, sino que nunca le ha demostrado apoyo a los hermanos. A pesar de que sus familiares y conocidos parecen no tomarlos en serio, Mario está decidido a no dar su brazo a torcer, con completa confianza en su habilidad de siempre dar su mejor esfuerzo, está seguro de que sólo les espera el éxito. Luigi por su lado, está igual de feliz de poder iniciar ésta nueva etapa junto a su hermano y a pesar de toda la negatividad que parece estar sobre ellos, la confianza hacía el otro, es bastante fuerte.

Cuando una noticia por televisión, revela que se han roto unas tuberías importantes en el centro de la ciudad, Mario ve aquello como una oportunidad para demostrarles a todos, de lo que son capaces y se dirigen hasta donde se encuentra el problema con la determinación de repararlo. De ésta forma, los hermanos acaban accediendo a las alcantarillas, pero en medio de su chequeo, los mismos son absorbidos por un enorme tubo que los termina separando y transportando a un mundo completamente desconocido y fantástico.

Mario, llega hasta el Reino champiñón en donde no tarda en conseguirse con Toad, una criatura champiñón que lo lleva a conocer a la princesa Peach, la monarca de ese reino que no sólo es una humana, sino también una valerosa guerrera que no tarda en poner aprueba las habilidades de Mario cuando éste le confiesa acerca de su deseo de ir hasta la zona donde observó, se dirigía su hermano. Peach, le advierte al fontanero que las tierras en las que ha caído Luigi, son del rey Bowser y que es una misión suicida. A pesar de las advertencias de la princesa, Mario sigue en su decisión de dirigirse a las Tierras Oscuras y rescatar a su hermano. La valentía de parte de Mario, es del agrado de la princesa y decide que no sólo le acompañará en su viaje, sino que le pide que la ayude a reclutar las fuerzas de los Kong y así, poder derrotar a Bowser, antes de que logre su cometido de apoderarse de todos los reinos. Mario acepta con completa determinación, pues siente que es lo correcto.

[Clickear para leer mi opinion sobre la pelicula] Como era de esperarse, fui una de las muchas personas que esperaba el estreno de éste filme, con altas expectativas sabiendo que nada más y nada menos que el estudio Illumination, tenía la importante tarea de darle vida a la imagen de Nintendo. Me agradó muchísimo la animación en general, el diseño de personajes no sólo es bonito sino que es bastante colorido y esa es una de mis debilidades.
En general, no tenía una idea como tal de cómo me imaginaba que sería la trama, pero fue bastante interesante que la enfocasen acerca de los orígenes de los personajes. La hermandad de Mario y Luigi me pareció bastante tierna, ya que siempre me han llamado la atención aquellos hermanos que se sobreprotegen y cuidan tanto (mis hermanos somos muy independientes entre nosotros), así que el hecho de que a quién tuviese que rescatar Mario, fuese a su hermano en lugar de a la princesa, creo que fue un buen detalle.
También me agradó la personalidad de Bowser, siendo malvado pero con su lado tierno y deseoso de amor ja ja me encantan los personajes de éste tipo.
Otro punto bastante atractivo para mí, fue la personalidad de Mario. Ese deseo de superación y de intentar las cosas sin importar las veces que fuesen necesarias, aunque pueda parecer las características de una persona terca, realmente es digno de admiración. Muchos de nosotros abandonamos proyectos o metas al primer indicio de fracaso, guiados por el miedo, sin darnos cuenta de que muchas veces, ese camino empedrado y lleno de dificultades, se irá volviendo más sencillo a medida que avancemos, pues cada tropiezo es una experiencia que nos ayuda a "subir de nivel" como quien dice, si aprendemos de ello.
Sin dudas, luego de éste increíble trabajo por parte de Illumination, está más que claro que las puertas hacia futuras películas de Nintendo, se han abierto. Yo por mi parte, espero con ansias la película basada en The legend of Zelda, otro videojuego con el cual crecí y que es el favorito de muchos.
Gracias a ésta película, se puede notar cuando las cosas son hechas pensando en los fans, buscando de que el resultado final logre reflejar la esencia del producto original. Pero una de las mejores cosas es que la primera película de Mario, la que fue un fracaso total, aumentó sus ventas y popularidad luego de éste estreno, lo cual demuestra lo que mencioné en un principio del post: "Todo, tiene su momento".
