El guión mantiene la carismática evolución de Hipo, como deja de ser un inadaptado para convertirse en un héroe capturando una mezcla de torpeza y valentía. Algo que me gustó mucho fue como manejaron la relación entre Hipo y Astrid, como pasa de ser una rivalidad y se convierte en un romance, mostrando una química bastante visible.

-Nico Parker como Astrid, hace un gran trabajo interpretando una valiente guerrera que sueña con convertirse cazadora de dragones y con el tiempo llegar a ser la líder de la aldea. Me hubiera gustado ber una interpretación más fuerte en cuanto a carácter pero cunple muy con el objetivo de mantener rebeldía, independencia y ferocidad, haciendo un contraste excelente con la parte romántica.

-Gerard Butler con excelencia interpreta a Stoick el Vasto, padre de Hipo y líder de Berk, la aldea donde se desarrolla todo. La interpretación fue magnífica con un carácter de liderazgo nato del personaje sin salirse de su papel de padre. En cuanto a Berk, presume de un gran realismo, transportando a cada expectador a una aldea Vikinga, como si estuviéramos en Islandia, con paisajes hermosos y colorido, un disfrute visual único, consiguiendo el escenario y ambiente perfecto.
