CineTV Contest: "Foosball" | "Metegol"

Behind a football game, there is always a story; each of the players, managers and even each fan who goes to watch his team in a football field, has a life of his own and in this case, even the little lead dolls of a table football game, come to life through the longing of Amadeo, a young boy secretly in love with his best friend Laura, who as the story progresses, the characters occupy a very specific place in both sides found in a confluence of experiences and needs; leaving in evidence the values of love, friendship and passion.

This afternoon, I want to participate in the initiative of the CineTV Community, showing one of my favourite films: a 3D animation, the first in its format in Argentina: "Metegol".

An animated film (2013), created by Oscar winner: Juan José Campella, set in a small town in Argentina, starring AMADEO, a shy boy, with a skill and ability in the game of table football, but not so in the real world; However, at the right moment, he is ready to face and fight at the head of a somewhat conventional team in order to recover what is his, including his dignity; and LAURA, Amadeo's best friend, an extrovert, modern and audacious character, who tries to help her friend out of his insecurities and fears. Both protagonists are united by friendship and the tender love of youth, whose mission is to save their town, with the particular help of a group of lead football players, where each and every one of them has a very particular personality:

• CAPI, a captain with a winning spirit, who with his wisdom, confidence and above all his intuitive intelligence, tries to maintain the unity of his team, in order to face a new world, where ethics are put to the test.

• LOCO, an emotional "new age" style player, with his Zen spirit, always has philosophical phrases, which are often misunderstood by his teammates.

• BETO, a very particular player due to his ego, considers himself the best of his team: a star trapped in the middle of a team that does not see beyond the stands; however, despite his explosive vanity, he is a player capable of giving everything for his team.

• LISO, the captain of the opposing team; a player with a strong character who commands respect, however, despite being CAPI's arch rival, he manages to join forces with his eternal adversaries in order to save and recover his team.

We cannot leave aside EL CRACK, a successful professional football player, resentful since childhood, who cannot stand defeat; his whim leads him to confront Amadeo, in order to resolve a personal conflict with him, who defeated him in a game of Metegol when they were children.
