Although I am not a fan of horror per se, I make some exceptions with certain franchises and installments such as Zombies (Like The Walking Dead or Resident Evil) and if we are honest, none of the superficial things have ever stopped any human being from take a look at some of these movies without finishing watching them. It is a very unique genre of cinema, the idea of an apocalypse with a virus that infects humans has always been of great curiosity to us mortals. Without a doubt I have chosen this film as my favorite, "28 Days Later" is such a meticulously well-made film.

Aunque yo no soy fanático del terror en si, hago algunas excepciones con ciertas franquicias y entregas como por ejemplo los Zombies (Como The Walking Dead o Resident Evil) y si somos sinceros, nada de las cosas superficiales jamás ha detenido a ningún ser humano a echarle un ojo a alguna de estas películas sin terminarlas de ver. Es que es un género muy único del cine, la idea de un apocalipsis con un virus que va infectando a los humanos siempre ha sido de gran curiosidad para nosotros los mortales. Sin duda alguna esta película la he escogido como mi favorita, "28 Days Later" es una película tan meticulosamente bien hecha.

The plot begins with a group of activists releasing a monkey infected with an experimental virus into a laboratory in Cambridge. The virus spreads rapidly throughout the country, causing a pandemic that turns those infected into bloodthirsty zombies.

Naomie Harris also does a great job as Selena, a strong and intelligent woman who fights to protect her colleagues.

Danny Boyle's direction is impressive, and the film has a dark and tense atmosphere that keeps the viewer on edge. Boyle uses a fast motion technique to create an effect of chaos and confusion that reflects the situation in which the characters find themselves.

Otra característica de la película es su violencia explícita, que puede resultar perturbadora para algunos espectadores, pero como ya he dicho antes, la forma tan peculiar de alimentarse los zombis y propagarse, la ciencia detrás del problema biológico y científico y como resolverlo hacen de esta entrega una película realmente entera. “28 Days Later” is an exciting, well-made film that offers a terrifying look at the zombie apocalypse. Cillian Murphy's performance is excellent, and her character is one of the most interesting in recent horror films. If you like horror and sci-fi movies, you should definitely give “28 Days Later” a chance.
