I think modern movies are leaning more towards losing the essence of what movies where about, telling a relatable story or conveying a message that would resonate with the audience. I personally have made it a point to watch mostly movies based on real life events, historical movies are most preferred at this point in time.

There are some movies that I still enjoy like the feel good movies, biopics and real life stories but the thing is that they are very few whereas the violence are maximum
