LeoGlossary Expansion

The tentacles of LeoGlossary keep expanding.

This is a project that is designed to add to the LEO database, providing the platform with information that others can utilize.

We are seeing this going into a few different directions simultaneously which slows the progress in one area but is helping things to grow overall. A big part of this is to keep connecting the data together.

In this article, we will delve into the different aspects of the project along with providing updates on the progress.

Music on Leo

This has garnered a great deal of attention. It is a rather simple concept, to use Threads as a system for Music on Leo.

People are embedding YouTube music videos into threads which are then captured. We have a few different pages set up that can be used to access the songs.

Once we click upon a link to a song, we see the thread popping up.

Here is what it looks like.

Simply hit play and enjoy using Leo as a front end to YouTube's database.

We are now over 2,800 songs in the database, something that was achieved in just a few weeks. There are 75 artist pages, totaling over 1,900 songs. As these fill out, the numbers will get much bigger.

Movies

We are also building a database of movies along with actors/actresses This is the forerunner to a IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes type service. We are entering the data into Leo.

One thing to mention, allssary of these pages are eligible for ad revenues. As more people use them, the page views will increase, thus driving the revenue higher.

Here is what the Bruce Willis Actor Page looks like:

We can see how the films are listed, with links to the movie pages. Each day we add more of both pages, growing the database. The key is to not lose the data by tying it together.

Eventually the goal will be to place polls on each page. This will allow people to vote on each film, letting people know how they rank it. Of course, being on Hive, this is all decentralized with any information provided on the blockchain, available for anyone.

There are over 1,000 films pages along with a similar amount of actor/access pages. The database will really grow throughout 2024.

LeoGlossary

This was the foundation of what we started more about 18 months ago. We are now closing in on 5,000 pages.

We built out a decent database with financial and cryptocurrency information. Now we are expanding in different areas. By building a library of songs and films, we have to create supporting pages to link. This is spreading it into new areas.

All of this is being done with the intention of laying a foundation that will eventually rank in the search engines. We are going to have to generate tens of thousands of pages, something that is accelerating as more join the team.

This is the central premise to all other aspects of the project. Everything else that is created is linked, creating continuity throughout the entire database.

The Music on Leo shows how threads, which are usually lost, are now captured and have more value.

Cocktails on Leo

In the last week, we started a new project that is filling in nicely.

This is being called Cockstails on Leo. It is drink recipes that are created in threads and, once again, captures

There are now over 60 drinks that are placed on the page in the associated category. We can see how this is another addition that can keep expanding over time.

Video

This is something that I have not delved into as of yet publicly. It is in the very early stages. That said, it is the key to the future vision of LeoGlossary. What is being discussed here is just the tip of the iceberg as they say.

The long term roadmap of LeoGlossary is something much bigger. We are forecasting where technology is going and how this can be leverage to enter markets that are presently out of reach.

Here is where the vision enters. LeoGlossary has aspirations that, quite frankly, are a bit mind boggling at the moment. As stated, the progress of technology is going ot open doors that most are not considering.

We aim to take advantage of this.

Proof of Concept

Much of this is at the proof of concept stage. We are still proving the viability of Hive as a database. LeoGlossary is really the first to undertake this as a focused initiative, designed to bring value to the platform.

Hopefully others will start to understand the process and get active in the creation of data which can utilized long term. Much of what is being captured is the foundation for something much bigger. scalability is crucial for long term success.

The Exponentiality

As with any project, the hardest part is getting started. The early stages are where it is difficult to see any progress.

With LeoGlossary, as the pages start to mount, we are finding the ability to start generating more in terms of lists becomes easier. This does make a difference in the search engines. We already see some of the terms from pages showing up even though they are not linked. Once that happens, it will carry more weight.

Playlists show this is in a simple way. By captured a few thousand songs, we can easily create some playlists, 10-15 songs on a single page. This is something that anyone can do, which feeds into the database.

Page Views

The ultimate goal of this is page views. LeoAds is now in effect, at least buying the token off the market.

Everyone with Leo Power in their wallet should be interested in having the page views growing. To truly achieve this, we need to keep creating pages that people will return to repeatedly.

Here is a single playlist with almost 40 page views.

If we think about it, how many pages on Leo get 40 pages views. With lifetime counters going into effect after LeoNode is up and running, we will see some of these pages enter the thousands.

Now take this concept and spread it across 10K or 20K LeoGlossary pages.

That is the potential we are looking at.
