Exterritorial --- Predictable, but entertaining :)
Last weekend, my mom and I decided to have a movie night. Among the movies we watched was this German film called Exterritorial.
NOTE: If you haven't watched it yet, there are some spoilers in this post, so please be aware. :)

It's about a former soldier named Sara. She and her son visited the US Consulate in Germany when the latter suddenly disappeared. She panicked and tried asking for help to find him, only to be told that no one noticed her son.
She's suffering from PTSD and has been on medication, so she was asked to leave the premises.
Knowing that the German government doesn't have the authority to get into the consulate, she thought that if she left, she'd never see her son again.
She tried to hide in the consulate, entering restricted areas, but instead of finding her son, she got involved in something dangerous and unlocked events from her past.

Although unrealistic in some way, the fight scenes were actually pretty entertaining. I said unrealistic because there were scenes when she fell off a higher floor and somewhat broke her shoulder, the next scene, she was able to move normally again.
It's cool because she's a desperate mother fighting against numerous men who are much bigger than her. It's actually one of the reasons why my mom chose to watch this film... she likes female main characters doing awesome action scenes. She doesn't normally watch this genre.
I enjoyed the series of events that happened in the movie, despite it being unpredictable. I sometimes joked around and told my mom what would happen next, and she'd be shocked because it really did. Then she commented, "Ahh, you're used to watching this type of movie."
It's the same in other genres these days, though. There will always be similar things that occur, so it'd boil down to how it's presented... which was done quite well in this film, in my opinion.

I also liked how they used her condition against her that she started questioning reality herself. I like it when movies play with the character's psyche. I mean, meds can indeed induce hallucinations and stuff, and when you're fed with ideas, you're bound to believe them even when they're not real.
Anyway, let me drop the trailer of the movie below.

It looks exciting, doesn't it? haha
Overall, it was a good watch. It was quite predictable, but the actors, especially the ladies (Jeanne Goursaud and Lera Abova), were so amazing! The
So, if you're into cool female main characters who'll do everything for their loved ones, then this movie might be for you.
I'll end this post here. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you at the next one! (^^,)/
