SCREAM V... was quite refreshing. :)

Since I haven't really worked the past days due to my health condition (I feel so much better now, so I'm working tomorrow... but will officially start with my main job on Monday. lol), I decided to watch a variety of movies and decided to give my review on them.

I have been looking forward to watching this particular movie mainly because of Jenna Ortega. I've watched the first movie when I was pretty young and I remember having a good laugh with my older cousins. However, I don't remember the story entirely aside from the fact that some dumb teens are being killed one after the other by a killer wearing a ghost face mask.

Yes, I'm talking about the movie SCREAM, and this time I watched Scream 5 on Netflix.

In this specific movie, Jenna's character Tara answered the infamous call from the murderer. It started with a little quiz about some horror movies until the stake became one of her friend's life. Of course, she was then attacked by the ghost face murderer.

Luckily, she survived the said attack However, because of this incident, her sister Sam who left home due to some issues went back to their town to check up on her. A few more attacks happened including Sam's, so she decided to ask help from Dewey, a survivor of the Ghost face attack in their town more than 20 years ago.

The questions remain the same... who is/are the ghost mask killer(s) and who's going to get killed next?

I personally didn't have any high expectations because most teen scream slasher movies are pretty similar. I still find them entertaining, though. I like it when the dumb or unlikeable characters were attacked. And I'm excited to know who'd survive only to get killed in the next movie if ever there is. lol

I guess that's also the reason why I remember this movie as funny. I feel that I should watch the first movie again as I might see it in a different light as an adult. Better yet, watch all the previous movies before watching the sixth movie and the seventh one which is said to be released this year.

While I looking for the trailer to share here, I almost watched the trailers for the sixth film. Jenna's still there so I'm quite excited! I love her... I wonder if she'd survive in the sixth movie, though. Has anyone seen it yet? No spoilers, please? haha

I don't want to check the entirety of the trailers for the sixth and seventh, yet.

Teen scream and slasher movies are quite entertaining for me. Even some plots are interesting like the "Fear Street" trilogy. So when I feel like it, I'd watch some. I haven't really watched some classic ones, though. I'd definitely give them a shot as well.

All in all, I enjoyed watching Scream 5. It was refreshing for me... but then again, slasher films aren't for everyone, so I only recommend it to those who enjoy this genre. Have bloody fun!!!
