Maligno, an excellent option for horror nights [Eng-Esp]
Greetings to all my hivefriends! I stop by to tell you about a movie I saw last weekend with my daughter, Maligno a good recommendation if you are a horror movie lover.
The horror genre lately tends to disappoint fans. I had not had the opportunity to see this film which is from the year 2021. I tell you that it keeps us totally in suspense until the end. The plot with everyday events make us forget a little that it is a horror movie and I liked that a lot about the film.
The main character confuses you and you don't know if he is real, if he is in the imagination of the other characters, if he is human or an entity. I think that was what director James Wan tried to keep the viewer with that intrigue and play with our mind.
Something that I also liked a lot about the movie was the soundtrack that was in charge of Joseph Bishara. Each scene has a musical background that goes along with the suspense and intrigue. This is fundamental in a horror movie, the musicalization of each event.
Plot
The main character is Madison, played by Annabelle Wallis, has a stormy marriage with a guy who is more terrifying than any entity. The girl is pregnant and you can tell she's about to have her baby, but she's in a lot of discomfort and her husband starts arguing with her until he slams her hard against the wall.
It's as if that argument unleashes a supernatural presence that starts murdering people while poor Madison is having visions of these brutal murders.
Madison's sister and mother are the ones who discover, along with a couple of detectives, who is responsible for all this chaos, it is someone from Madison's past who she and everyone had forgotten over time.
Despite the low ratings this movie had (5.5/10 on Filmaffinity, 6/10 on La Vanguardia, 2.7/5 SensaCine.com) I thought it was a very good movie, with an unexpected ending and it kept me hooked, especially the last 20 minutes where the knot of the plot unravels. Personally, I liked it a lot and would give it a rating of 8/10.
I could say that the most uncomfortable character was that of Detective Regina, played by Michole actress Briana White, I felt that her performance was not at all accurate and her character felt like a stone in the shoe.

¡Les saludo a todos mis hiveamigos! Paso por aquí para comentarles sobre una película que vi el fin de semana pasado con mi hija, Maligno una buena recomendación si eres amante de las películas de terror.
El género de terror últimamente tiende a decepcionar a los fanáticos. No había tenido la oportunidad de ver este filme que es del año 2021. Les cuento que nos mantiene totalmente en suspenso hasta el final. La trama con hechos de la cotidianidad hacen que olvidemos un poco que se trata de una película de terror y eso me gustó mucho de la película.
El personaje principal te confunde y no sabes si es real, si está en la imaginación de los otros personajes, si es humano o un ente. Pienso que fue lo que trató el director James Wan de mantener al espectador con esa intriga y jugar con nuestra mente.
Algo que también me gustó mucho de la película fue la banda sonora que estuvo a cargo de Joseph Bishara. Cada escena tiene un fondo musical que va acorde con el suspenso y la intriga. Esto es fundamental en una película de terror, la musicalización de cada hecho.
Trama
La protagonista es Madison, interpretada por Annabelle Wallis, tiene un matrimonio tormentoso con un sujeto que es más aterrador que cualquier ente. La muchacha está embarazada y se nota que está por tener a su bebé, pero tiene muchas molestias y su marido comienza a discutir con ella hasta que la golpea fuerte contra la pared.
Es como si esa discusión desatara una presencia sobrenatural que comienza a asesinar personas mientras la pobre Madison va teniendo visiones sobre esos brutales asesinatos.
La hermana y la madre de Madison son las que descubren, junto a un par de detectives, quien es el responsable de todo este caos, es alguien del pasado de Madison quien ella y todos habían olvidado con el tiempo.
A pesar de las calificaciones bajas que tuvo esta película (5.5/10 en Filmaffinity, 6/10 en La Vanguardia, 2,7/5 SensaCine.com) a mí me pareció una película muy buena, con un inesperado final y me mantuvo enganchada, sobre todo los últimos 20 minutos donde se desenvuelve el nudo de la trama. Personalmente, me gustó mucho y le daría una calificación de 8/10.
Podría decir que el personaje más incómodo fue el de la detective Regina, interpretada por la actriz Michole Briana White, me parece que su actuación no fue nada acertada y su personaje se sentía como una piedra en el zapato.
Espero que si no han visto esta película se animen a verla y disfrutar de una buena trama. Nos vemos pronto con una próxima reseña. Gracias por visitar mi publicación.

I have always found this kind of movies curious because they are the kind of horror that always keeps us in expectation, it looks quite interesting to spend a different time. The story is striking.
