🇺🇸 ~ I finished watching Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, and the series made such a good impression on me that I rushed to write this review, which I hope will encourage you to give it a try if you're still thinking about it.
La serie trata sobre una chef que viaja al pasado y se encuentra en una época histórica complicada de su pais, donde existe este rey tirano cuyo final ella ya conoce por haberlo estudiado para una propuesta culinaria que por cierto, le hizo ganar esta gran competencia de chefts internacionales: ¡Ahora ella se encuentra en medio de este gran drama!, el caos se aproxima al escenario donde se encuentra atrapada y necesita este libro misterioso que ha perdido para volver a la época actual.
The series is about a chef who travels back in time and finds herself in a complicated historical period in her country, where there is a tyrannical king whose fate she already knows because she studied it for a culinary proposal that, incidentally, won her a major international chef competition: Now she finds herself in the middle of this great drama! Chaos is approaching the scene where she is trapped, and she needs this mysterious book she has lost in order to return to the present day.
A través de 12 capítulos esta serie para televisión te muestra desde la perspectiva de la chef Yeon Ji-yeong sus intentos para volver a su hogar, el cómo por leer un libro durante un eclipse de sol (libro que es un registro histórico que le pidió su padre buscar en Paris antes de su retorno a Corea del Sur) le hizo activar alguna especie de magia que la llevó al Imperio Joseon (1392 al 1897) y encontrarse directamente con el rey Yi Heon, un personaje caprichoso y violento, al que es divertidísimo ver cómo ella trata porque está segura que "está en el set de grabación de un drama o en un parque temático donde todos tratan de tomarle el pelo".
Through 12 episodes, this television series shows you, from the perspective of chef Yeon Ji-yeong, her attempts to return home, how reading a book during a solar eclipse (a historical record that her father asked her to find in Paris before her return to South Korea) activated some kind of magic that took her to the Joseon Empire (1392 to 1897) and meet King Yi Heon, a capricious and violent character, whom it is hilarious to see her deal with because she is sure that "she is on the set of a drama or in a theme park where everyone is trying to make fun of her".
El ritmo de esta serie es genial porque no es ni demasiado apresurado ni demasiado lento, así como te presenta situaciones tambien te va dando las respuestas así que no existe esta "acumulación de demasiadas cosas por resolver" que abruman al espectador, y sobre todo:

Esta serie contiene un elemento que a todos creo que nos gusta, y es que mezcla el género de comedia y romance con la cocina; a través de cada capitulo hay misterios por resolver pero tambien un platillo diferente donde las habilidades de la protagonista brillan de manera súper entretenida para el espectador (incluyendo las reacciones de los otros personajes al probar su comida y estas ediciones divertidas y exageradas de "nirvanas por los sabores") y presentándose cada comida como elemento apaciguador y de aprendizaje, porque sí, no solo la trama esta bien escrita sino que aprenderás mucho sobre la cultura y la cocina de Corea del Sur con cada episodio.
This series contains an element that I think we all like, which is that it combines the genres of comedy and romance with cooking. Throughout each episode, there are mysteries to solve, but there is also a different dish where the protagonist's skills shine in a way that is highly entertaining for the viewer (including the reactions of the other characters when they taste her food and these funny and exaggerated scenes of "flavor nirvana"). You've probably seen content creators commenting on this TV series, highlighting the theme of cooking and food, but that's not the only thing that makes "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty” special.
Por ejemplo las actuaciones de otros personajes diferentes a los protagonistas principales son MUY GENIALES, como el príncipe Je Seon (el villano) que finge torpeza e ineptitud pero es un conspirador astuto y peligroso, o la actuación de Seo Gil-geum, una chica adorable con un don para el olfato excepcional y que se presenta como una amistad sincera y valiosa para la protagonista (Seo Gil-geum es mi personaje favorito de la historia porque es graciosa y muy leal).
For example, the performances of characters other than the main protagonists are VERY GREAT, such as Prince Je Seon (the villain), who pretends to be clumsy and inept but is actually a cunning and dangerous conspirator, or the performance of Seo Gil-geum, an adorable girl with an exceptional sense of smell who becomes a sincere and valuable friend to the protagonist (Seo Gil-geum is my favorite character in the story because she is funny and very loyal).
"Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" es el tipo de serie bonita que puedes recomendarle a tu mamá con los ojos cerrados, porque esta bien producida, es facil de seguir y tiene un bonito capitulo final que te hara llorar y ser feliz a partes iguales (ese final se sintio como ese fanfic bien escrito que se salta las reglas en la parte final para todos, literalmente fue un "fuck this shit al final quedan juntos y son felices y no necesito explicarlo demasiado" 😂 👍 agradecida con el director).
"Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" is the kind of lovely series you can recommend to your mom with your eyes closed, because it's well produced, easy to follow, and has a beautiful final episode that will make you cry and be happy in equal measure (that ending felt like that well-written fanfic that breaks the rules in the final part for everyone, it was literally a “fuck this shit, in the end they get together and are happy and I don't need to explain it too much” 😂 👍 I'm grateful to the director).

Te súper recomiendo adelantarla en tu lista de series pendientes porque te vas a reir mal, yo la vere de nuevo pero en su idioma original porque la versión que vi fue la de doblaje latino 😂 quiero escuchar a la prota regañando al rey y dándole lepes en coreano 🤣 ¡me alegra mucho saber que mi opinion te agradó! 💞
