Sort of a Movie Review/Hypothetical Question: The Coming Convergence - Are we living the tribulations of the end times?

I know I've been doing a lot of movie reviews lately, but this is more of a hypothetical question mixed with a movie review. The other night while looking for something to watch on TV, Amazon suggested "The Coming Convergence". It was basically a documentary-style film about the biblical end of days with scholars and theologians talking about the end times.

As most of you know, I'm pagan. I love the old world religions and the different pantheons of gods and goddesses. I was baptized Catholic though and did attend a private Catholic school from grades K - 7. The first hour of every school day was dedicated to bible study for those 8 years of my life. Bible prophecy is one thing I've never lost interest in. Regardless of what you believe, the prophecies are uncanny. I'm not going to get into my personal thoughts or beliefs on this subject, I'll just say that having already studied the topic, I thought this film was a pretty accurate interpretation of biblical prophecy.

So the title intrigued me. I wasn't really in the mood for religious dogma so I said, "OK, this movie has 10 minutes to capture my attention and interest". That's all it took.

Most movies on this subject are filled with dogma and get incredibly preachy. You better pay attention or you're going to hell. That wasn't the case with this movie. It was simply scholars and theologians presenting the data. Here's what the bible says, here's how it correlates to modern times. They presented the material intelligently, and without creating an atmosphere of preaching. I found that surprisingly refreshing. Considering the subject matter, it wasn't all doom and gloom either. Well, I mean it's a documentary about the end times, so I guess it was presented in a way that didn't scare the living crap out of you!

The other interesting thing is that the movie was broken into two main parts. Where we are now and what we're heading into. That IMHO was a really cool approach to this subject matter.

I have to admit, I agreed with most of it. The really bizarre thing about this film for me was it almost felt like I wrote the script. The information was presented exactly how I'd present right down to some of the personal opinions.

For instance, when they talk about the concept of a "One world government". On paper, it seems like a good idea and the right thing to do, however, it's probably going to end badly. I've said this repeatedly myself. I'll share one personal take with you. A one-world government is probably necessary, smart, and the right thing to do. However, the people that would build and design this one world government currently CAN NOT BE TRUSTED! It's that simple IMHO. Maybe your opinion differs, but I don't think many of our current world leaders have the best interest of the general population at heart. I could be wrong, but I don't trust them. We're already seeing a lot of wacky shit out of the WEF and Klause Schwab. A world government will likely be set up by the usual list of suspects. The Gates Foundation, WEF, UN, BRICS, and IMF, followed by nation-states like the EU, US, etc. IDK how you feel, but I don't trust any of these groups right now. I mean all kidding aside, they've led us down this path. Now suddenly, if you give up your sovereignty and obey them they can fix it. I'm more than dubious. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

You will own nothing, eat za bugs und be hoppy!

So the movie presents the information in a very intelligent manner. It shows us where we are at, and where we are heading too. I'll tell you what, our future doesn't look very bright. As a matter of fact, the future is literally very dark. I won't post spoilers for those not familiar with this content, but I did agree with many of the findings compared with my own research.

Another interesting thing about this documentary is they back many claims on science. NO it's not the "follow the science" crowd. They do present the data scientifically though. It's not just headlines and bible quotes. Interestingly enough, if you took God out of the subject matter, it could simply be a documentary about the future our planet is heading towards. No bible needed. This is the direction we're heading in! They're just matching up scientific findings with what they're interpreting from bible passages.

It's ironic because the information was presented in a very non-religious way. For me, that's what made this documentary work. It wasn't all fire and brimstone. It was about taking a sensible look at the information, backing it with science and current events and allowing the viewer to decide for themselves.

The movie runs for 104 minutes. I was never bored once. It received 4.5 stars out of 5 on Amazon and 5.5 out of 10 on IMDb . Again, with the huge discrepancy in rankings between Amazon and IMDb.

104 minutes of interesting.

I know prophecy is open to interpretation. Many people will just scoff at this and say, nonsense. Up until about 20 years ago, I was one of those people. Slowly, I keep seeing things I've studied and researched come to light. I will say this, the evidence presented is compelling. The interpretations seem logical, and the direction we're heading in seems almost inevitable at this point. All these points are made in the movie.

A couple of the interpretations are almost undeniable like the recreation of Israel. I'll let the movie explain all that though and it's not anti-Semitic!

So I'm not converting back to Christianity any time soon but I will say, if you're interested in this topic, this movie is highly recommended. I found most of the information presented incredibly fascinating.

This post was actually meant to be more of a philosophical question than a movie review. What say you?

Are we living in the end times?

Do you believe a one-world government could usher in a new era of peace and prosperity?

Do you believe in God and the Antichrist?

What are your thoughts on bible prophecy?

This is a really interesting topic to me and I'd really love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for reading and stay safe out there, the future is looking pretty ominous!
