Movie Review - Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins.
For the fact that I sometimes don't really like to watch Indian movies, sometimes I watch some that make me really want to watch them again. Just like we know Bollywood for their fiction and some magic that happens to be unreal, this time Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins attempts to revive a classic Bollywood within me, sharing a twist of severe battle of robbery and an extreme robbery with high-standard tools. This movie was released initially on the 25th of April 2025. It lasts 1h 58m long and was directed by Kookie Gulati, Robby Grewal which really did great job in creating this movie. But when you are not sure of yourself, don't go close to Rehan Roy because he is very good at stealing from people without leaving a trace.
Jewel Thief revolves around a master class thief, Rehan Roy, who was hired by the strong and powerful crime lord in the city to steal the world's most valuable diamond, which is called the African Red Sun. He accepted this offer, but then the game turned around to what he did not expect. The game has now become one that he needs to fight by himself because he was betrayed, and among the deadly games he has gotten himself into, he will have to find a way out.
I love the great job the directors did in ensuring that this movie is filled with a lot of dramatic moments and also full of suspense. Well, just like I said before, we know Bollywood movies to be very unreal but enjoyable to watch if we neglect the unreal aspect. The movie has lots of tense moments, especially when the heist was going on. You don't want to miss those lovely moments of tension that will leave you wanting more.
The cinematography was top-notch, giving a very clear vision of the movie. The editor really did a great job. From the sound to the music and the effect, it says it all about the movie, which I love so much. The narration was not really consistent but still engaging. Rehan Roy and the other actors did a great job making this movie enjoyable to watch even despite its flaws. Some of the cast are Saif Ali Khan as Rehan Roy, Jaideep Ahlawat as Rajan Aulakh, Nikita Dutta as Farah, Kunal Kapoor as Vikram Patel, Kulbhushan Kharbanda as Dr. Jayant Roy, Gagan Arora as Avi Roy, Loitongbam Dorendra Singh as Anees Moosa,Ayaz Khan as Manish Ashar.
What I Like About the movie
- It's entertaining
- I love the tension moment it has because it was able to catch my attention.
- The visuals were very appealing and amazing.
What I don't like
- It feels so unreal
- The pace of the movie was not really consistent
- The story line was not really straightforward.
Rating: 3.5/5
In conclusion, this movie is a stunning one, but just doesn't have the much strength I really needed from it. Not that the movie was not enjoyable, especially when Rehan Roy went for the heist—it was a very interesting moment, but still it still felt unreal. But to avoid all the flaws it has, it is a remarkable one at that because of the advanced knowledge used to create this movie. I love all the moment because it's full of suspense that will draw you closer even when you don't want to watch it. It was an incredible watch after all, and you need to give it a try.

I watched this movie last month and I actually enjoyed it. The tension it brought made me love it. It was a great movie and I love how Rehan outsmarted the crime lord and saved his father, too.
Yeah it's an amazing one. Thanks for commenting
Wow, your review has me curious. I don't usually go for Bolloywood movies either, but it sounds like this one has the kind of suspense and visual appeal that could pull anyone in. I might just give it a try for the tension-filled heist scenes and that twist you mentioned
You really need to check it out and enjoy the fun aspect of it
