Biggest bomb of the year. Expected to break even at 325 million but only made 133 million. They expected 400 million plus minimum. I love that fans are finally done excepting this bad writing and nonsense. James Gunn DC universe is dying fast. He’ll drawl back to Marvel by 2029.

If he doesn't manage to regain the fans' trust, I have no doubt. However, I think it's still premature to say that, knowing he only has two films under his belt. We'll see how he continues to develop this new universe. I hope it goes well for him because Gunn is a true genius.
Wildest additional data is, Spider-Man Friday numbers beat Super Girl. And it looks like Spider-Man opening weekend will beat the last three DCU films combined total entire month runs. One day beat the whole run. If that doesn’t scream DCU is dead I dunno what does.
Gunn has done some good stuff, but I think he’s a one trick pony in style. The guardian vibes & style won’t work for the core DC characters. He’ll be back at Marvel by 2028 or so. DCU will be rebooted again by then. It’s really bad numbers so far, and the Stand alone Batman sequel that has nothing to do with Gunn & DCU is gonna beat the Superman sequel by miles. Something the studio had as an after thought and wanted to ditch so Gunn could do a Batman but the success is gonna complicate things. Just remember I said this, Batman will do better numbers than
