[ENG-ESP] Best Spider-man movie ever made - Across the Spider-verse (REVIEW)

This is the second time that I start watching an animated Spider-man movie and I can't connect with what I'm watching. The first time was with Into the Spider-verse, and now, with its sequel. I am a fan of the comic books not only of the character, but also of Marvel, and even though he ain't one of my favorite characters, he's one of the ones whose story I know the most, even so, the first ten minutes have been very tedious, but after watching the whole movie and getting to the end, I have managed to change my mind, also, for the second time.

Es la segunda vez que me pasa que comienzo a ver una película animada de Spider-man y no logro conectar con lo que estoy viendo. La primera vez fue con Into the Spider-verse, y ahora, con su secuela. Soy fan de los cómics no sólo del personaje, sino también de Marvel, y a pesar de que no es de mis personajes favoritos, es uno de los que más conozco su historia, aún así, los primeros diez minutos han sido muy tediosos, pero al ver la peli completa y llegar hasta el final, he logrado cambiar de opinión, también, por segunda vez.

Due to the history that Marvel has with animated movies, I have never given them much faith, even if it's produced by another company, what I will comment today has already happened to me with both of the same saga, getting to love the plot to the point of even wanting to play the character. Spider-man: Across the Spider-verse is a multi-animated film that tells the story of Miles Morales, the African-American Spider-Man.

Debido al historial que tiene Marvel con las películas animadas, nunca les he dado mucha fé, aunque sea producida por otra compañía, lo que comentaré hoy me ha pasado ya con ambas de la misma saga, llegando a amar la trama al punto de hasta querer interpretar a su personaje. Spider-man: Across the Spider-verse es una cinta de animación múltiple que cuenta la historia de Miles Morales, el hombre araña afro-americano.

Unlike what we know of the character of Peter Parker, from so many live-action movies, series and cameos he has had over time, Miles is so different in every aspect that both African-American (like me) and Spanish-speaking people can even identify with such a peculiar character. Shameik Moore plays a 15 year old boy full of heart who tries to fit into a world where he's not welcome, despite the circumstances, he manages to prove both to himself and to the world that black people have a place in society.

A diferencia de lo que conocemos del personaje de Peter Parker, de tantas películas en live-action, series y cameos que ha tenido a lo largo del tiempo, Miles, es tan diferente en todos los aspectos que tanto, las personas de raza afro-americana (como yo) o de habla hispana, pueden incluso indentificarse con tan peculiar personaje. Shameik Moore interpreta a un niño de 15 años lleno de corazón que intenta encajar en un mundo donde no es bienvenido, a pesar de las circunstancias, logra demostrarse tanto a él, como al mundo que las personas de raza negra tienen cabida también en la sociedad.

Let's start with the animation. First of all, since the first movie I didn't see much sense in creating vintage and not very modern graphics in an era dominated by so much technology and media, but it turns out that they are made so on purpose that you can say that they are the essence of the movie. Its colors, represent the emotions according to each scene, besides signing as a midpoint between all its characters.

Empecemos por la animación. Primero, desde la primera película no le vi mucho sentido crear unos gráficos vintage y poco modernos en una época que predomina de tanta tecnología y medios, pero resulta que los mismos son hechos tan a propósito así que se puede decir que son la esencia de la película. Sus colores, representan las emociones según cada escena, además de firmar como un punto medio entre todos sus personajes.

Across the Spider-verse manages to bring together in a single film more than 200 Spider-man from comics, movies, series and video games, showing us the existence of the theory of parallel universes. Spider-man 2099, Ben Reilly, Gwen Stacy and Spider-Punk are among the main ones, played by Oscar Isaac, Andy Samberg, Hailee Steinfled and Daniel Kaluuya respectively. We also have Jack Quaid, Mahershala Ali, Andrew Garfield, Donald Glover, J. K. Simmons and Nicolas Cage in cameos.

Across the Spider-verse logra reunir en una sola cinta a más de 200 Spider-man provenientes tanto de los cómics, películas, series y videojuegos, mostrándonos la existencia de la teoría de los universos paralelos. Spider-man 2099, Ben Reilly, Gwen Stacy y Spider-Punk son de los principales, interpretados por Oscar Isaac, Andy Samberg, Hailee Steinfled y Daniel Kaluuya respectivamente. También tenemos a Jack Quaid, Mahershala Ali, Andrew Garfield, Donald Glover, J. K. Simmons y Nicolas Cage en cameos.

Other very charismatic spideys appear in the film, such as the Indian and Spectacular Spider-man, in addition to the inclusion of the Venom universe, Andrew Garfield's Spider-man, Tom Holland's Spider-man and Tobey Maguire, respecting what we already know about them from previous films.

Both Spanish and English are predominant here, with an emphasis on Latino culture, with excellent voice actors such as Lauren Veléz, Brian Tyree Henry and Josh Keaton in supporting roles.

Tanto el idioma español como el inglés son predominantes acá, haciendo énfasis en la cultura latina, con excelentes actores de doblaje como Lauren Veléz, Brian Tyree Henry y Josh Keaton en papeles secundarios.

For the first time, the well-known villain The Spot appears in such a serious project, with a backstory that we will know in the third installment, also, accompanied by a dark and comedic tone at the same time, being, in my opinion, one of the best antagonists shown on the big screen of the arachnid superhero.

Por primera vez, el conocido villano The Spot aparece en un proyecto tan serio, con una historia de transfondo que conoceremos en la tercera entrega, también, acompañado de un tono oscuro y comediante a su vez, siendo, en mi opinión, uno de los mejores antagonistas mostrados en la pantalla grande del superhéroe arácnido.

Sony is the main producer of this film, belonging to the arachnid saga it is creating at the time of this post, being able to connect, at the same time, with its past films, future ones and with Disney's MCU. This, you can tell by the way the characters glitches, as they have already done in projects like Loki, Spider-man: No Way Home and even WandaVision. In addition, it looks to be setting the stage to combine with one of the new Avengers movies based on the multiversal aspects that are all the rage at the moment.

Sony es el encargado principal de producir esta cinta, perteneciente a la saga arácnida que está creando al momento de este post, pudiendo conectar, a la vez, con sus películas pasadas, las futuras y con el UCM de Disney. Esto, se puede comprobar por la forma que glitchean los personajes, como lo han hecho ya en proyectos como Loki, Spider-man: No Way Home e incluso WandaVision. Además, se ve que se está preparando el terreno para combinarse con una de las nuevas películas de Avengers basadas en los aspectos multiversales que están de moda en el momento.

The soundtrack is another gem, starting from its pre-credits song and inserts throughout the film. It is at the same time, a very happy and very sad movie that will touch your heart, whether or not you are a Spider-man fan or have never seen anything of his, although it is recommended to see the previous film.

La banda sonora es otra joya, comenzando desde su canción pre-créditos y las inserciones a lo largo de la película. Es a la vez, un película muy alegre y muy triste a la par que te tocará el corazón, seas o no fan de Spider-man o jamás hayas visto nada de él, aunque es recomendable ver la cinta anterior.

Spider-man: Across the Spider-verse is the second of three parts in the Spider-verse saga that will open the way to a series of other projects such as Kraven, Madame Web, Spider-woman and a fourth part of Tobey's Spider-Man. The film has an unexpected and unpredictable ending that will leave you wanting more, getting you ready to witness a reunion that perhaps involves a much loved and acclaimed character for the audience.
