[ENG-ESP] Pinocchio - Is it good? Is it worthwhile?

Pinocchio is the most recent live-action film adaptation created by Disney which was released this year 2022. Is it worth watching it? Was it really necessary to create a version of this kind after almost 80 years? Today I will talk to you about this movie from my point of view criticizing it thoroughly with my opinion ⤵️

Pinocho es la más reciente adaptación cinematográfica live-action creada por Disney la cual se estrenó este año 2022. ¿Vale la pena verla? ¿Era realmente necesario crear una versión de este tipo después de casi 80 años? Hoy te hablaré de esta peli desde mi punto de vista criticando a fondo la misma con mi opinión ⤵️

Gepetto (Tom Hanks), as in the animated version, creates a wooden boy based on the appearance of his deceased son, wishing for him to come to life by wishing upon the blue star. Following this, the puppet, whom he named Pinocchio, comes to human life through magic who tries to lead a normal life in the hopes of becoming a "real boy" by pandering to the requests of his "father" followed by the conscience of Jiminy Cricket (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).

Gepetto (Tom Hanks), como en la versión animada, crea un niño de madera basándose en la apariencia de su hijo que falleció, deseando que este cobrara vida pidiéndole un deseo a la estrella azul. A raíz de esto, el títere, al cual llamó Pinocchio, cobra vida humana a través de magia quien trata de llevar una vida normal con la esperanza de convertirse en un “niño de verdad” complaciendo las peticiones de su “padre” seguido por la conciencia de Pepito Grillo (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).

Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Pinocchio is one of the best juvenile performances this year giving life and voice to the animated puppet, with a strength and energy that gives him an incredible prominence in his scenes.

The graphics, compared to other films of the year, are very humble and simple, being very oriented to a 3D-loving child audience, but could still have been better worked.

Los gráficos, comparados a otros filmes del año, son muy humildes y sencillos, siendo muy orientados a un público infantil amante del 3D, pero que aún pudieron haber sido mejor trabajados.

The performances of Luke Evans, Cynthia Erivo, Keegan-Michael Key, Giuseppe Battiston and Kyanne Carthy, despite being very short, give a more serious touch to the film in their scenes, although comedy is the genre that abounds the most.

Las actuaciones de Luke Evans, Cynthia Erivo, Keegan-Michael Key, Giuseppe Battiston y Kyanne Carthy, a pesar de haber sido muy cortas, le dan un toque más serio al filme en sus escenas, aunque la comedia es el género que más abunda.

References are made to other sagas such as Toy Story, Snow White and Mickey Mouse, evidencing the connection between the Disney universe among characters from the same company, showing that the film takes place between events that have already occurred in other versions, accompanied by a multiversalism of stories.

Se hacen referencias a otras sagas como Toy Story, Snow White y Mickey Mouse, evidenciando la conexión entre el universo de Disney entre personajes de la misma compañía, demostrando que el filme transcurre entre hechos que ya han surtido en otras versiones, acompañado de un multiversalismo de historias.

The plot is nothing more than the same as the 2D version of 1940, only with very simple details that change both the beginning and the end of it. The teaching it conveys (which I won't spoiler) is about the decisions we make day by day in our lives despite the external influences of the environment.

La trama no es más que la misma que de la versión 2D de 1940, sólo con detalles muy simples que cambian tanto el principio como el final de la misma. La enseñanza que transmite (que no haré spoiler) trata acerca de las decisiones que tomamos día a día en nuestras vidas a pesar de las influencias externas del ambiente.

So, is it worth watching? Yes, I think so, it's a bit funny, but not so much the fun or the graphics but for the excellent acting of those involved in the project that constitutes one of the new and best live action adaptations among many sagas.
