[ENG-ESP] The Guardians of the Galaxy - Holiday Special (NO SPOILERS)

Christmas is coming and the Guardians of the Galaxy team wants to celebrate by making their leader, Peter Quill, feel at home, as he hasn't been the same since the death of his girlfriend Gamora at the hands of Thanos. Drax and Mantis travel to Earth in search of the perfect gift as a present to Quill on behalf of the entire group of alien outlaws.

Se acerca la Navidad y el equipo de los Guardianes de la Galaxia quiere celebrarlo para que su líder, Peter Quill, se sienta como en casa, ya que no ha sido el mismo desde la muerte de su novia Gamora a manos de Thanos. Drax y Mantis viajan a la Tierra en busca del regalo perfecto como obsequio a Quill en representación de todo el grupo de forajidos extraterrestres.

This medium-length Christmas special is a fantasy comedy, complemented with a bit of dark humour, sarcasm and good old-fashioned Marvel action that focuses on the events of the Infinity Saga, which serves as a prelude to the final ending of these characters in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3.

Chris Pratt as Peter Quill leads the entire group of intergalactic guardians drawn from Marvel comic book characters, played by Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Bradley Cooper and Pom Klementieff as Groot, Drax, Nebula, Kraglin, Rocket Raccon and Mantis. The cast is also joined by Kevin Bacon as the antagonist and Maria Makalova on Cosmo's voice.

Chris Pratt en el papel de Peter Quill dirige a todo el grupo de guardianes intergalácticos sacados de los personajes de los cómics de Marvel, interpretados por Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Bradley Cooper y Pom Klementieff en los respectivos papeles de Groot, Drax, Nebula, Kraglin, Rocket Raccon y Mantis. As we saw from the first installment, the soundtrack of Guardians of the Galaxy is blown away with good music and charisma, this time they went overboard by bringing in a rock band that sings at the beginning and end of this special short.

Como vimos desde la primera entrega, la banda sonora de Guardians of the Galaxy está mamadísima con buena música y carisma, esta vez se pasaron al traer consigo una banda de rock que canta al principio y al final de este corto especial.

The story is set chronologically after the events of Thor - Love and Thunder, where, after their farewell to the god in the previous film, they return to Nowhere to set up their base of operations. The plot is also set a year before what we'll see in Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3.

La historia está ubicada cronológicamente después de los hechos ocurridos en Thor - Love and Thunder, donde, después de su despedida del dios en la anterior película, vuelven a Nowhere para armar allí su base de operaciones. Full of special effects, graphics on a par with all the previous films and well crafted is what we see here; although most of the scenes are based on land, the colours, backgrounds and lighting are striking at first glance.

Llena de efectos especiales, gráficos al nivel de todas las películas anteriores y bien trabajados es lo que vemos aquí; aunque la mayoría de las escenas se basan en tierra firme, tantos los colores, como los fondos y las luces son de impactarse a primera vista.

The Guardians of the Galaxy - Holiday Special connects directly to Avengers - Infinity War, Avengers - Endgame, Thor - Love and Thunder and the films of its trilogy with a plot faithful to the main story of the MCU, being 100% canon. It also features a very brief cameo by Kringo from the Eternals group where we can see a slight connection between these space beings.

The Guardians of the Galaxy - Holiday Special conecta directamente con Avengers - Infinity War, Avengers - Endgame, Thor - Love and Thunder y las películas propias de su trilogía con una trama fiel a la historia principal del UCM, osea es canon 100%. También presenta un brevísimo cameo de Kringo del grupo Eternals donde se ve reflejada una leve conexión entre estos seres espaciales.

For being only 50 minutes long, it's pretty good, although it's a story you're likely to forget quickly, it's focused on giving fans of these characters something more to tell before their story comes to an end soon. Moments full of laughs, suspense and action is what you can find when watching it, I really loved it and I've even had to watch it like five times being a candidate for the #ChristmasMovie I've watched the most in my life.

My favourite scene was seeing Mantis in action, what was yours?

Para durar apenas 50 minutos, está bastante bien, aunque es una historia que posiblemente olvides rápido, está enfocada a darle algo más que contar a los fans de estos personajes antes que su historia llegue pronto a su fin. Momentos llenos de risas, suspenso y acción es lo que podrás encontrar al verla, a mí me ha encantado mucho la verdad y hasta he tenido que verla como cinco veces siendo como candidata al #ChristmasMovie que más he visualizado en mi vida. Mi escena favorita fue ver a Mantis en acción. ¿Y la tuya cuál fue?
