IN THE TALL GRASS MOVIE REVIEW :
In the Tall Grass is a 2019 horror film directed by Vincenzo Natali, based on Stephen King and Joe Hill's novella of the same name. It's available on Netflix to watch. The movie is ominous and scary .
The plot revolves around two siblings who become lost in an overgrown area of tall grass and soon realise they are stranded in a mysterious and deadly world. They discover terrible truths as they investigate and must struggle to survive against a deadly entity lurking in the long grass.
The siblings are trapped in an eternal circle of time, unable to escape. As the siblings strive to make sense of their situation while also confronting otherworldly forces, the film has mystery , suspense and anxiety.
The acting in this film was great, with Laysla de Oliveira and Avery Whitted giving excellent performances as Becky and Cal, respectively.
Several aspects are left ambiguous, which some find bothersome yet delightful since it allows for discussion and interpretation. Overall, I believe the story had potential and that a better film might have been done. That began off wonderful, but it became a little dull near the end. "In the Tall Grass" is a one-time viewing with its dramatic mood and frightening sights.
