Movie Review: Coyote County Loser

Another title for this movie could well be: “Two Love Doctors Fall in Love With Each Other”.

I’m sure you’ll ask me: “What is a love doctor?”.

A love doctor is an informal title that is given to people who offer love advice to other people.

Another term is “agony aunt”, although a love advice columnist can also be a man.

In this film, in specific, tips of advice on relationship issues are offered by a hostess of a local radio show targeting listeners who call her on air asking her for advice and having a friendly chat.

What makes this radio show different is that the hostess is a relationship expert who also holds a PhD, since there aren’t many PhD holders out there who are radio presenters, as well.

However, it later emerges that she lacks first-hand experience herself, and her love advice is purely the result of academic study.

A rising radio personality from LA who happens to stop by seems to be more than glad to give out little secrets and practical tips of advice to change the love lives of local radio listeners.

As soon as he enters a local diner, it becomes clear that he is going to disrupt the tranquility of the local community.

Will his presence have a positive or a negative impact on the love affairs of people living locally though?

The love advice offered by the already established female presenter is quite the opposite of his.

She advocates that, in order for a love relationship to last, it should be based on practical things such as financial viability, mutual respect, respect, and honesty.

The male presenter, on the other hand, advises local radio listeners just to follow their hearts and not take any other factors into account, when it comes to love.
