Movie review: Go for It
In this movie, the famous duo of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill go through a number of adventures that are hard to believe.
As soon as the movie starts, you can watch Terence Hill rollerskating on the highway.
Then, Terence Hill is set free from prison just like that, without an appeal or a court ruling.
Humor goes hand in hand with absurd situations.
But then again, isn’t our world as absurd as the scenes of this movie?
Perhaps, this is the intention of the movie, to sarcastically criticize real world figures and events.
In the 1980s, there was much anticipation and great expectations about what the future would hold and be like.
Themes like a madman who wanted to rule the world were often used in movies of that era.
Seen in a movie, a madman with the alleged power to dominate the world was regarded as something to laugh at.
In a real-world scenario, however, such a lunatic could prove dangerous for society, and his or her actions result in mass, unnecessary killings.
In the end, the “good guys”, just like Terence and Bud Spencer in this movie, always appear literally out of nowhere and come forward with a solution to save the world just in time.
