This looks interesting. There's a spin-off (at least that's what I understand) set during the Cold War, with the Americans and Soviets trying to control the monster. Cool, I like the vibe of The Shape of Water or Stranger Things. Wyatt Russell will be starring.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a queer horror film. From what I remember, it's directed by a director who isn't just another "polite, politically correct person," but who can speak a few words of bitter truth, and I really like people like that. I'd love to see her film.
Lol, I think I hit the bullseye. Originally, I wanted to ignore writing about this film (before it even started production) because it looked like a cheap production for genre fans. But something made me stay on the link, read about the director and her approach, and I was instantly sold. Fingers crossed, because although I'm more inclined to right-wing liberalism, the latter aspect is equally important for culture. I'm glad that we're increasingly able to reject stupid, unnecessary ideology (I'm talking about all sides) and instead focus on creating a simply good product.
And being compared to this year's box office king is the best compliment possible.

Trzymam kciuki za horror queer. Z tego co pamiętam, zajmuje się nim reżyserka, która nie jest kolejną "grzeczną, politycznie poprawną osobą", tylko potrafi powiedzieć parę zdań gorzkiej prawdy, a ja cholernie lubię takich ludzi. Chętnie obejrzę jej film.

Lol, udało mi się chyba trafić prosto w 10. Pierwotnie chciałem olać pisanie newsa o tym filmie (zanim zaczął powstawać), bo zapowiadał się na tanią produkcję dla miłośników gatunku. Coś jednak sprawiło, że nie zamknąłem tego linka, tylko przeczytałem o reżyserce, jej podejściu i zostałem momentalnie kupiony. Trzymam kciuki, bo choć bliżej mi do prawicowego liberalizmu, to dla kultury ten drugi aspekt jest równie istotny. Cieszę się, że coraz częściej potrafimy odrzucić głupią niepotrzebną ideologię (mówię o wszystkich stronach), a zamiast tego skupiamy się na stworzeniu po prostu dobrego produktu.
A porównanie do króla Boxoffice'u tego roku to najlepszy możliwy komplement.
