Some time ago, probably two years ago, there were changes among the people overseeing content and determining "what will catch on, why give a smaller budget, why a bigger one." I'm hearing more and more praise for them, and I've noticed a difference in quality myself, so the noticeable increase in popularity and earnings isn't surprising. It's still mediocre production at best, but we get something good more often than from Netflix or Disney. It's not HBO, but I don't feel like my brain would rather doze off than watch garbage content.
