Night Of The Assassin: The Final Mission
After some months of not being opportune to see a movie, I finally saw one yesterday, and I'm glad I did because I got the satisfaction I needed. If you're looking for a Korean movie with feet-fighting scenes to watch, I will recommend this movie, The Assassin, also known as The Night of the Assassin.
The Assassin is a South Korean movie released in 2023 with a well-composed story about Inan, played by Shin Hyun-Joon, one of the deadliest assassins in Joseon history.
The Storyline:
The movie started by showing a serious heart illness in Inan's life, which his master, who was also his doctor, warned him about. He told Inan to lie low on his assassin job because the more he used his strength, the worse the sickness would get. He was also told to abstain from intimacy with women. He was able to stop the assassin job but couldn't resist the touch of a woman, and that was when he got attacked. He fled to a nearby village to lie low, where he met a widow with her son, who owned a restaurant. He got employed there as staff. He kept a low profile, but when the woman's son, who he was getting fond of, was killed, he couldn't bear the pain. He returned to his assassin lifestyle, and that became the trouble in the town because he was set to kill everyone that had a hand in the death of the boy, Chi-book.

The Character Ratings:
I haven't really watched a lot of Korean movies, so I found this man, Inan (Shin Hyun-Joon), well-fitted for the character. He played the role so perfectly that if I ever see him in other movies, I will assume him to be an assassin in the movie. He barely talked in the movie, and that's very good for a well-feared assassin. The Widow (Lee Jung-Min) and her son are other characters that did well. Their comedy parts, though not much, were very fitting for them. Another person that matched so well is Ibang, the one who is controlling the affairs of the city, unknown to the top politicians. Other characters blended everything very well.
The Fighting Scenes:
These are the parts I enjoyed watching. The movie gave me the exact show I wanted, with those clashes of swords, and throats being slit with just a move of the sword. The fact that Inan, the great assassin, was unkillable even when attacked by a group of special fighters was thrilling. He would boast even at the point of death and still succeed in slaying everyone.
It's really a good movie. If you haven't watched it, go for it, and you won't regret that you did.
Thanks.
