As per tradition, at the end of every year, I want to write a post looking back at the past year to see what I did on my Hive journey and look forward to the next year. My year on Hive started very good, I had goals set and early in the year, I met quite a few of them. Due to me personally moving from one country to another (and mostly the months of prepping to make it happen), I stopped focusing on these goals but rather focused on real life goals for the time being. And with success, as we moved to Spain and then found an apartment within the deadline of our timeframe. It's not the apartment we'd normally pick, and it definitely comes with flaws, but this is our starting point and I know it could have been a lot worse as we checked out many apartments, and most were way overpriced as well. We now live in one that's affordable and plan on moving ourselves to another area before summer, if all goes to plan.

My 2022 Hive journey

At the start of the year, I went all in on Listnerds and built a team of 72 people that joined. I had no previous experience in affiliate marketing but saw an opportunity and took it. I met the most amazing people that I'd otherwise never met probably, as we hang out in different communities mostly, but I'm very happy that I got to meet all of them. They were all very determined to make something of this journey, unfortunately, things didn't work out as we hoped. Thankfully, all of us are grateful for the journey and we still speak in our team discord, I'm sure this was not the last thing we did as a team..

Listnerds was exciting and thanks to the team I gathered, I earned 40% commissions on their upgrades. Below you can see I almost sold 3000 dollar worth of upgrades since I started.

image.png

Not bad for a rookie marketer, right? I took the number one stakeholder spot after some time, and even while I'm on the free membership for months, I still remain second biggest stake holder, for the time being.

image.png

Listnerds was a big part of my daily life for many months, until it wasn't worth it anymore. I wish it was different but you win some, you lose some. I only lost time personally, gained a lot of knowledge, new friends and inspiration. In the end, it was still worth it for me.

2.png

I only started with Listnerds as this was a part of my Hive journey for only part of the year, while CineTV is still part of my daily Hive journey. I have enjoyed being part of the CineTV team deeply, not only did I get a lot of creative freedom and trust from my manager(s), I learn new things as well and got to guide our youngest member that joined the team too. These are things that I can add to my experience and I'm happy they trusted me with these tasks. I also enjoyed creating quite a few graphics not only for the CineTV Twitter account, but also for an advertisement campaign for CineTV as well as graphics for the Hive content. I've started to write on the Hive blog very recently and in 2023 I will come back with something new to write about..

The CineTV journey is not new to me personally, but I know 2023 will bring exciting changes and I'm sure more people in the industry will find their way to our community. I hope to be part of the crew for much longer as I can see this grow to high levels!

To earn more from Cine curation, while most my HP stake is delegated to Stickupcurator, I decided to unstake my $CINE tokens and get a separate account for CINE curation only, I hope with this, my stake gets used better and I earn more tokens than I do now, as I feel it's been wasted currently.

1.png

With my steady income for CineTV, I have been able to fund our move to Spain partially with my weekly earnings as well as some other tasks that I gained on the Hive platform. Although it was a bit weird to cash out everything for several months, I knew this was temporarily until after the emigration. I had a goal to work towards, and so I did. I did not want to be left with little funds to cover the costs along the way and therefore I made a fiat savings fund from my Hive earnings until all things were settled. Once I moved into this home, building mode was activated.

I have only used HBD from my earnings to move elsewhere or buy HE tokens, but I kept building the Hive Power. I had the goal of 5000 HP by the end of the year, and also a big HBD savings goal, this would have all worked out as planned if LN didn't become worthless, but it did. I didn't spend much time to feel shit about that though, I learned to adjust to changes quickly and remained focused on building stakes on Hive as well as @emp.money because I could now finally move my earnings in crypto once the emigration was behind us.

3.png

I mentioned earlier that I did not meet my goals of HP and HBD savings. A shame at first, but then I accepted it months ago and decided to just keep building and use my earnings as I see fit. I could have put all the HBD into savings or sold them for Hive to build power, but I decided to keep adding to my EMP.money portfolio instead. With success though, I will talk about that in another post.

I have upped my blogging game since I'm on holiday for CineTV and have more than 100 HP pending for this week, which I will then delegate to @stickupcurator for more LGN earnings :)
Meanwhile, I put part of every HBD I earn into savings and use the rest to buy BRO. These purchases and savings are really just pocket change now, but I have to start somewhere, right? One day I will see the interest being worth it and be glad I started somewhere.

5.png

My first goal towards Hive power is now still 5000 HP, I'm at 3753 HP today..

As you can see, I'm not doing bad.. And below you can see the comments / replies and rewards split:

Even more interesting to see is the account growth from September 1 until now:

Just remember, I never brought fiat into Hive these months, I earned them by blogging and occasionally I swapped some other earnings into Hive. So I take proud of this growth as is.

6.png

Besides the HBD savings, which are meant for long term, and the building of my HP to up my earnings in several ways (earning interest on it, earning from curation and at this moment mostly earn LGN dividends from the HP I delegate) I also want to keep growing my $BRO stake as it gives me weekly Hive dividends as well as a daily airdrop in LGN tokens. This is the reason I use part of my HBD to buy BRO every time I claim some HBD. I don't want to put it all on the long term when I can instantly start increasing my daily LGN airdrop buy adding to my BRO holdings. I will not set any goals for now but first see how fast these stakes/savings grow to have a better idea of what's reasonable.

7.png

As we have heard that our social security contribution will be 5.5x as much as it is now from halfway 2023, I have to prepare and get more fiat income from my side to cover these extra costs. I won't let this stupid tax change ruin our journey to a better area where we can work towards saving for our first own house and actually build something of our own in real life too. I don't know how this will work out and how many hours it will take from me weekly but I'm starting by creating a new resume as the old one is more focused on work before my Hive journey and I can safely say that my interests and skills have shifted to other levels.

I will not waste my time on stupid jobs anymore that cause me too much stress or where I don't agree with the way they work. I know there is a lot of good stuff out there too, you just have to find it and take the opportunity when it's presented. I have not actively been looking for quite some time as I was content with the situation as is but once we went from a flat monthly tax fee in Hungary to the tax here in Spain, the money that we could save has drastically gone down and I want to unlock more options to save as soon as possible on top of covering the costs later in 2023.

This doesn't mean I will spend less time on Hive, just use my time more efficiently, which I've successfully been implementing over the past months anyway. I will remain Hive focused as I believe Hive will be even better once we get through this bear market and I have faith that this is not a waste of my time but good investment for the future.

Lately I've found back some creative inspiration and I want to keep working on my skills creating art in many ways. It has been proven to inspire my daughter as well and that alone is making it worth to take a daily break from all tasks and sit with her to create. May it be a drawing, craft or painting, I want her to stay motivated and show her that you can use these creations to connect online and even earn money with them. No more "poor artist" talks for the future generations would be nice, as many artists from our generation seem to have had these talks from their parents when they were trying into art schools or trying to pursue their dreams of becoming an artist. I'd like to show my daughter that there are always options and maybe she can inspire kids from her generation later on.

10.png

It's been quite some time that I actually sat down and wrote things that helped me become a better person, helped me get through emotional blockages that block me in my day to day life, which is sad because my Steemit journey started with that. I wrote, maybe fulltime, hours and hours a day so that I could get through these traumas I had and heal, bit by bit at a time. I feel emotionally blocked again for a while and am trying to push myself to write, even if it's not for Hive content, I may end up using it for other purposes or just for me only. I need to push myself more and get it out of my head. You may or may not see this back in Hive content over time, time will tell.

11.png

I want to thank everyone I made a connection with somehow over the past year. I'm grateful for all the engagement and votes I receive and I hope to connect with even more people in the next year to come. Hive is still something that broadens my horizon and inspires me every single day and for that I am super grateful. Personally, I can't imagine my days without doing something Hive related and therefore I will continue to build on this platform. I hope you're there with me..

Have a wonderful end of year tomorrow and even better 2023!

Thank you, gracias <3

Damn! I love hearing people using their crypto/hive for real life purchases or even moves! Thats big dude, congratz! :D

Do you have a Job in spain or are you living on Hive? :D

I didn't just use those funds though, that would have been impossible, although part of the earnings at the time were really high so it definitely helped!

My boyfriend has a steady fiat income and I have a small one in fiat as well. In Hungary it was much easier to gather funds for the emigration from this amount as we earned in Euro, while the Hungarian forint kept falling we had more to spend every month.

On top of that we had a flat tax system for entrepreneurs and this now belongs to the past since our move here. More costs as well, so I need to get creative again. But I have no doubt it will work out fine, just don't know exactly how yet, lol.

But I admit, thanks to the things I made happen with my crypto earnings over the years, I would not easily part with Hive ever. It's brought me so much on so many levels, I'm here to stay!

There is always Hive you can use a bit off and just be more active if you need more funds right? :D

I prefer being more active over powering down, which seems to be working great last week, but I have a 2 week holiday from my Hive work related stuff so more time :)

But it will work out, we'll see how exactly :) thanks for stopping by!

A blessed 2023 my friend. I like reading year-end reviews. It helps me reflect on my own journey too. I can relate to that 5,000 HP target. That's my goal for 2023.

As for LISTNERDS, at least I hit 3x my goal though its current price is way below its price during the early months.

Same to you and your family!

I'm glad you enjoy them, and I'm sure you will reach the 5000 target in 2023 :)
I will just take it step by step for now and first see what the market does before I set unreasonable expectations, last year I started with way too low goals, haha.

I hope one day it will recover (LN) but it seems that there aren't any changes and the upgrades are too expensive for now so.. We'll see..

Have a good one!
