Weekend Netflix watch

I had a few other things I wanted to see during the weekend and "Your place or mine" was one of them. I usually don't need to think twice when I see a trailer or movie poster that shows one or two actors that usually play a nice role. You know how it goes, some of these people turn up in movies and literally all of them are nice, good or ever great watches.

Reese Witherspoon probably became famous when she played in Legally Blonde, I'm not 100% sure though but at least that was the first movie I saw with her in it when I was younger. It amazes me to see how youthful she still looks while that was decades ago!

And then we have Ashton Kutcher on the film poster as well, usually he's playing in movies that I like so to me it was a no brainer when this movie came on my feed that I was going to add this to my watchlist for the weekend together with "You people" and so I did.

Predictable but a nice watch

Although as it's always the case with these romantic movies, it's quite predictable what will happen (more or less) and what the outcome will be. Let's look a bit at the story, shall we?
Debbie and Peter have been friends for two decades and their friendship started with a one night stand that they still refer to as a weird experience. That being said, they remained friends for 20 years and are swapping homes for a week while Debbie is going away and her babysitter cancelled on her last minute to watch her son. Peter offers to help out and so they swap homes for the week.

I totally expected the son to bond well with Peter while he's in Debbie's home and of course I also expected him to make a few mistakes as the kid has some allergies. Thankfully, nothing bad happened but they bonded during the week. To the point where the son can see where this needs to go before these two see it themselves. This is probably a common thing, where others see the outcome before the people involved do.

I recommend this movie

If you haven't seen it yet and love a good romantic comedy to watch without having to think much about the plot but just enjoy the watch, this is a good one! I don't want to give away too much so I will leave it at this and drop you the trailer below so you can check it out yourself:

Have you seen this movie? What did you think of it?

I've always said that if the trailer hooks you then so does the movie. Although sometimes the bad thing about trailers is that you already know what's going to happen in some scenes and in other cases you're left with curiosity haha.
I haven't seen this movie yet, but I think I'll pass on it.
