The Watcher

I heard people mentioning the tv show a few times but never looked it up because every time I was sucked into another tv show at the same time. I almost forgot about it until I was browsing Netflix for a new watch a few days ago. The first thing I said was "Hey that's Stiffler's mom" lol, as I always remember Jennifer Coolidge by that name, she's quite the character every time.

It was clear from the very start that the house was going to be a bit spooky or scary and I totally expected this to be just another scary show about a house where bad stuff happens to scare their inhabitants. I have to admit that it was a bit of a turn off at first because I've already seen so many of these movies but I gave it a chance because I didn't have anything better to watch anyway at that moment.

The plot

I got sucked into the story immediately and I've probably suspected every person in the show to be "The Watcher", what that means exactly, I will not spoil and let you figure out for yourself in case you haven't seen the show yet. I have to say that it's a bit of a weird show with some weird characters along the way that can't be anything other than involved. But if they truly are, you will have to check yourself.

Let's say the family is being harassed by a person and living in that few million dollars house has not been what they expected to say the least. The Brannock family will eventually lose trust in everyone around them in their search for answers, which to be honest, I can totally understand seeing the events happening. Some predictable events as a response to the house horror is happening at some point, as you would expect to happen in a movie or tv show like this but this wasn't a bad thing if you ask me.

I kept watching

I was unsure who was behind all things happening and I had to find out what the true story was so I kept watching the show. Because of that, I would say that it was a good watch even with the predictable parts in it.

I missed the note that it was based on true events until my boyfriend mentioned at the end that they never found out who did it. I asked him what he meant, he said he looked it up and they never caught someone for doing this. I'm glad I was not one of the people living in that house, let me tell you! I now still wonder what truly motivated "The Watcher" and some questions will probably never be answered.
