Lovecraft, who wrote the story that this film is adapted from, is, well, rather weird at times. I had to look this one up and watched the trailer. Not sure if it is my cup or tea or not, so your last comment about whether to watch it or not - Maybe? - is spot on. I had to look up the original story and found that there have been several other films based on the story, maybe those might be more to my liking. Hard to say.

I was unaware that there were other films based on this. Perhaps I will look those up as well. Overall I think the movie is pretty "meh" but there are people out there that appreciate very strange movies... sometimes that person is me but in the case of this film, it isn't.
you and me both. If you like Lovecraft and horror in general - the Lovecraft Society has made a couple of films made as if they were produced in the same year the story was published. Worth checking out as well.
