Movie Review: Chappie [Eng/Esp]

Hello everyone! I would like to talk about a movie called CHAPPIE.

Chappie is a science-fiction movie which was released in 2015. This movie was able to successfully bring together a little bit of drama, action, and comedy. The movie was directed by Neill Blomkamp who co-wrote the script with Terri Tatchell. This movie ( Chappie ) was majorly about how robotics engineers were able to wield artificial intelligence (AI) into the form of humans (humanoid robots). In this movie, with the help of Dev Patel( Deon in the movie) and his team,

they were able to create tons of humanoid robots which helped a lot by substituting real humans in most field tasks. I actually recommend this movie ( Chappie) to all sci-fi lovers, because it has a fresh and innovative perspective on the genre.
The movie Chappie, dwelt around a particular company of which through the help of its staffs, creates humanoid robots which were used to substitute the real police men and women on the field in Johannesburg, South Africa to be precise reason was because in the movie, Johannesburg, was plagued with violence, and a really high crime rate in general. Well things turned around later on in the movie after a group of criminals stole Chappie, and threatened to kill the creator (Deon) if he didn't re-configure the police Robot to be on their side for their selfish purpose.
The criminals ended up making the police robot( Chappie) indulge in criminal activities which ultimately determined the fate of the robot.

There are so many reasons why Chappie's story is compelling.
The first being that Chappie learns how interact with the things around it just like a little child...

it also begins to question the reason for its existence, and its place in the society well people say it's normal or a familiar theme in sci-fi generally but if you ask me, I will say chappie handled it in a thought-provoking and unique way.
Furthermore, the movie really is an emotionally engaging one...the characters were well developed and were easily relatable too. I saw how Chappie evolved right from an innocent robot,to a robot that was capable of making its own decisions which honestly was so pleasant to me.
The respect Chappie the robot had for its creator Dev Patel (Deon) showed how loyal AI could actually be to its makers not wanting to naturally go against the wish of its maker. It also showed the idea of paternal love and the responsibilities that follow creating life.
I also commend the efforts the producers put towards giving us such good visual effects which made the robots in the movie look realistic. They also put into consideration the movement of the robots to give it that perfect finishing touch and make them look alive.
I must say, The action scenes were intense and properly choreographed adding to the overall excitement of the movie.

I can't talk about the movie Chappie without at least saying something about the actors...of course if the actors weren't good, even the movie with the best storyline will still look wack.
Sharlto Copley, was the owner of the voice behind Chappie; he really did an excellent job of bringing Chappie to life.

Dev Patel played the role of Deon Wilson (Chappie's creator) ; he brought a sense of empathy and compassion to the role.

Hugh Jackman played the role of the villainous Vincent Moore, a former soldier who originally disagreed with the use of robots in law enforcement really added tension to the movie 😅. And so many other great actors I can't really put down in This post. Overall, the movie is a very entertaining sci-fi movie to watch...the movie's storyline which was about artificial intelligence was really fascinating, and brings some nice interesting questions about the future of technology, and its positive/negative impact on society.

Although the movie Chappie, has some flaws which was obvious to some viewers and not really obvious to some other viewers...one of the flaws I could pinpoint
Is the fact that the pacing was slightly uneven in the sense that that I felt some scenes were rushed, while the spent too much time on some other scenes.

In conclusion, Chappie is actually a really good movie that offers something really unique to most sci-fi lovers.

If I'm asked to rate the movie on a scale of 1-10 I'm going to confidently rate it a 7.5👍.

El respeto que sentía el robot Chappie por su creador, Dev Patel (Deon), mostraba lo leal que podía ser la IA a sus creadores, sin querer ir en contra de sus deseos. También mostró la idea del amor paternal y las responsabilidades que conlleva crear vida.
También elogio los esfuerzos de los productores por darnos unos efectos visuales tan buenos que los robots de la película parecían realistas. También tuvieron en cuenta el movimiento de los robots para darles ese toque final perfecto y hacer que parecieran vivos.
Debo decir que las escenas de acción son intensas y están bien coreografiadas, lo que contribuye a la emoción general de la película.

No puedo hablar de la película Chappie sin al menos decir algo acerca de los actores... por supuesto, si los actores no eran buenos, incluso la película con la mejor historia seguirá pareciendo wack.
Sharlto Copley, fue el dueño de la voz detrás de Chappie; realmente hizo un excelente trabajo dando vida a Chappie.

Dev Patel interpretó el papel de Deon Wilson (el creador de Chappie); aportó un sentido de empatía y compasión al papel.
