This movies was one of my childhood fave, it came across my mind and i decided to relive it.

Step into the wild and wacky world of Apocalypto, a totally awesome 2006 American epic adventure flick brought to life by the one and only Mel Gibson! Get ready to embark on a wild ride through pre-Columbian Central America alongside our hero, the rad dude known as Jaguar Paw.

Picture this: there's a groovy tribe chilling out in the lush jungle, led by the wise and revered Flint Sky. But hold on to your loincloths, because things take a radical turn when a gnarly gang of Mayan warriors crashes the party! They kidnap Jaguar Paw and a bunch of other villagers, planning to offer them up as sacrifices to save their civilization. Talk about a major buzzkill!

But fear not, dudes and dudettes! Jaguar Paw isn't about to go down without a fight. He breaks free from his captors and begins an epic, nail-biting journey through the untamed jungle. The Mayan warriors are hot on his trail, eager to drag him back to their city. Will our hero make it out alive? It's a totally wild and unpredictable adventure!

Prepare for jaw-dropping visuals that will blow your mind! Apocalypto captures the awe-inspiring beauty and brutal reality of pre-Columbian Central America like no other. And get this, they even rock the Yucatec Maya language to keep things authentic and groovy. The cast totally nails it, especially Rudy Youngblood as the rad Jaguar Paw. He's the man!

Some folks have praised the film for its rad portrayal of Mayan civilization and its attention to historical accuracy. But, like, not everyone is on board. Some peeps think it perpetuates bogus stereotypes about indigenous cultures, which is a total bummer, man.

All in all, Apocalypto is a totally gnarly and intense flick that takes you on a mind-bending journey through time. It raises important questions about what it means to be human and will have you on the edge of your seat. If you're into epic adventures and dig exploring the history and culture of pre-Columbian Central America, this flick is a must-see. Grab your popcorn and get ready to party like it's 1519!

a super tough hero who can handle any injury. We even see his wife hiding in a hole, getting soaked by rain and having a baby while all the chaos is happening. In the end, the hero Jaguar Paw is chased to a beach by the last warriors, but then he sees something amazing: big Spanish ships arriving and serious-looking conquerors and priests stepping onto the shore. They're there to destroy the whole Mayan society. Luckily, Jaguar Paw and his immediate family survive and decide to go deeper into the jungle, finding their own happy ending amidst all the sadness. Meanwhile, the corrupt civilization gets destroyed by the apocalypse

I like i lot the plot it's amazing how the olders civilization lived.

I can't forget this movie so easily, his wife was a brave and strong woman, she fought so hard to save her unborn child and her daughter and she had hope that her husband will come back one day, and they later united, I never got tired of watching this movie.

Great film for sure. The first copy I got of this movie was a pirate DVD and it didn't have subtitles. A friend of mine told me that it wasn't supposed to have subtitles and we were just supposed to figure out the dialogue on our own. I believed him and did not enjoy the movie or even finish it.

Later I would get a real version of the film with subtitles and that completely changed my feelings about it and now I think it is one of the best movies made in the past 30 years.
