Movie review; A forever with numbered days.
Happy Sunday evening, Hivers! I watched this emotional and interesting movie titled A forever with numbered days, and before I rate it, let me narrate the storyline. This movie is a Nigerian Nollywood film produced by Bolaji Ogunmola.
Deyemi Okanlawon, who plays UVO, falls in love with his wife's best friend, April, after his wife Bami goes missing and is presumed dead three years prior. UVO and April start a relationship and even pick a wedding date. However, on their wedding day, UVO receives a call about his wife being involved in a gas accident and rushed to the hospital. To his surprise, the person in the hospital is Bami, who was kidnapped and eventually escaped after many years.
Bami and UVO reunite, but their reunion is complicated by April, with whom UVO has fallen in love. Bami starts asking about her best friend, whom she misses dearly, while April tries to avoid her. One day, Bami visits April, and they share a heartfelt moment. Bami narrated what happened when she was kidnapped, how the kidnappers use her for their dirty game before she finally escaped after three years.
UVO's friend advises him to reveal the truth about his relationship with April to Bami while Bami was away, but UVO decides to keep it a secret and think their is no need since they are already planning their wedding, April discovers she's pregnant with UVO's child. When Bami finds out about the pregnancy, she's very happy, unaware that the child is UVO's. The truth eventually comes out, leading to a dramatic confrontation.
Bami forgives UVO, but their relationship becomes strained. UVO wants to be involved in the child's life, but Bami struggles to cope. When she learns that UVO and April had planned to get married while she was away, she decides to leave.
But UVO started begging her that he cannot live without Bami , that is Bami he love but Bami told him that their forever love story is a numbered days and the day has come, I think that is where they get the title of the movie.
In my opinion, it's good that she left, as the child's presence would only add to her sadness.
The storyline is unique and captivating, making the movie more interesting than others I've watched. One thing I learned from this movie is that we can move on without anyone if a relationship isn't working out. Instead of staying and be sad. I'm confident that Bami will find love again and be happy.
Pictures gotten from the movie.
