Under Siege ; movie review

Happy Sunday great writer. I watched this movie and it was impactful, I wish to share it with you. Under siege is the title of the movie. It's a Christian movie, produced by the Mount Zion movie. It's a story of three young men named Timi, Kolade, and Samuel in the movie. The three of them are musicians. Kolade is already making waves in the music industry, going from one tour to another. But Timi is still singing in the corner of his room hoping that one day he will blow like Kolade.

Kolade's father is a pastor and didn't support his son's music career. He wishes Kolade will be a pastor that will later handover his post to him when he is old. One day both Timi and Kolade were talking, and Timi was telling him about his desire to be like him. He also wants his music to go viral, but Kolade told him to continue singing the gospel song he was singing because he can't pay the price he paid.

Timi didn't understand what Kolade meant, he thought he was talking about money. While they were still talking, someone called Kolade to meet him outside. His name is Gasper, he is the one that always signs them to record labels with a price. Gasper told Kolade that Elder wants him, Elder is Gasper's boss. Kolade wants to refuse, but Gasper reminded him of the contract he signed.

On getting to the hostel that Elder is, he met his friend Samuel there, he has also come for fame like Kolade. Kolade was shocked and angry. He abused Elder of always spoiling the life of young men, and that is when I know that the price to pay is to join a cult and also sleep with Elder. Elder is a rich man, in exchange for that, he will connect them, sign them to record labels.

They tried to kill Kolade to shut him up. But he escaped, and Timi's father rescued him because Timi's father is a police officer. He was taken to his house, but his father refused to welcome him in love, he rejected him, and Timi's father took him home. He confessed to Timi's father about everything. Everything that goes behind the scenes of his fame and music career.

In the other end, Timi has talked to Samuel to take him to Gasper because he also wants fame. Samuel took him to Gasper, and in their conversation, that is when Gasper realized that Timi knows Kolade. Gasper and his team have been looking for him, Gasper tells Timi to take him to Kolade. They get to Timi's house where Kolade stays, Gasper told Kolade to get out unless he will kill Timi. Finally, kolade goes out, and he was killed.

The movie is interesting because it exposed the secret happening in some music industry. There are dirty sacrifices under some fame. And whatever the devil gives cannot last; if he takes someone up, his aim is to take them down. Success takes patience; it doesn't happen in a day. Every riches and fame are not from God, so we should be careful not to fall into wrong hands.

Kolade's father rejected his son when he need him most and should have welcomed him and advised him in love, shows that discipline doesn't change some children, but talking with them in love does. Because Timi's father showed love to him, and that is why he made him confess, unlike his father, who just talked harshly to him. There is so much to learn from this movie. Run your own race and avoid competition with people because you don't know the price they pay to get there. The price might be deadly.
