It's an American/French drama film, based on the novel of the same name, written by Ron Rash. It stars the incredible actress Jennifer Lawrence (as Serena Shaw), Bradley Cooper (as George Pemberton) and Rhys Ifans (as Galloway). A story set in the 1930's where George Pemberton is a baron in the lumber business, until he meets the beautiful Serena Shaw, they fall in love and together they take over the running of the business. Her presence brings many changes, she has a stormy past, he doesn't seem to care, he's totally in love with her, Serena is a strong woman, even so, she is very attached to him. Everything is going well until after an unfortunate incident that unleashes a whole host of problems, which will test their love.

Es protagonizada por la increíble actriz Jennifer Lawrence (como Serena Shaw), Bradley Cooper (como George Pemberton) y Rhys Ifans (como Galloway). Una historia que se desarrolla en el año 1930 donde George Pemberton es un barón dedicado al negocio maderero, hasta que conoce a la hermosa Serena Shaw, se enamoran y juntos se encargan de administrarlo. Su presencia trae muchos cambios, ella tiene un pasado tormentoso, a él no parece importarle esta totalmente enamorado de ella, Serena es una mujer fuerte, aun así, ella esta muy aferrada a él. Todo marcha bien hasta después de un desafortunado incidente que desata un sin fin de problemas, que pondrán a prueba su amor.

It's a quite serious, deep, dark and mature drama where you can clearly see how love can change you in many ways, manifest itself in the most beautiful way or consume you and bring out the worst in you. Undoubtedly Mr. and Mrs. Pemberton have a quite passionate love, in many scenes of this film you can see they truly love each other, also the attraction between them is undeniable, which makes all the carnal scenes between them quite natural.

Es un drama para adultos bastante serio, profundo y oscuro donde puedes ver claramente como el amor puede cambiarte de muchas maneras, manifestarse de la forma más hermosa o consumirte y sacar lo peor de ti. Indudablemente el señor y la señora Pemberton tienen un amor bastante pasional, en muchas escenas de este filme puedes ver que ellos verdaderamente se aman, además la atracción entre ambos es innegable, lo que hace que todas las escenas carnales entre ambos fuesen bastantes naturales.

The acting of the main characters is what brings this story to life, without them the story would hardly be any good, thanks to them I was able to put aside how predictable most of the film was for me, except for a couple of twists that did take me by surprise, also the film is visually appealing, it's an excellently set period story and is somewhat disturbing too, but only a little in my opinion, if it hadn't developed so slowly it would have been an excellent film.

La actuación de los protagonistas es lo que le da vida a esta historia, sin ellos difícilmente la historia sería buena, gracias a ellos pude dejar a un lado lo predecible que fue casi toda la película para mí, a excepción de un par de giros que si me tomaron por sorpresa, además la película es visualmente atractiva, es una historia de época excelentemente ambientada y es algo pertubadora también, pero solo un poco en mi opinión, si no se hubiera desarrollado tan lento hubiese sido una excelente película.

In this story there is no antagonist as such, but there is a lot of betrayal, murders, some blood, hunters, a lot of jealousy, hot scenes, strong themes, past that left big wounds, a cougar, violence and also displays of love. The only character that can be considered bad is probably Galloway, he's a man that you just have to see him to know that there is something about him, something disturbing; Ifans did a great job with his performance, his character and Serena's disturbed phase was what I liked the most.

En esta historia no hay ningún antagonista como tal, pero si hay mucha traición, asesinatos, algo de sangre, cazadores, muchos celos, escenas candentes, temas algo fuertes, pasados que dejaron grandes heridas, un puma, violencia y también muestras de amor. El único personaje que se puede considerar malo posiblemente sea Galloway, es un hombre que basta con verlo para saber que hay algo sobre él, algo inquietante; Ifans hizo un trabajo grandioso con su interpretación, su personaje y la faceta perturbada de Serena fue lo que más me gustó.

The story leaves a few things in mind like: how dangerous love is, how strong feelings for another person can be, jealousy, lies, secrets, what you might be able to do to keep the relationship or protect your future, it touches on some pretty sensitive issues for a couple, especially how complicated it can be to start a relationship with someone who once lost everything and suddenly meets someone important and that new person become her/him everything or the only thing she/he have, it may seem like a beautiful thing but it's equally dangerous too.

La historia deja unas cuantas cosas en mente como: lo peligroso que es el amor, lo fuerte que pueden ser los sentimientos por otra persona, los celos, las mentiras, los secretos, lo que puedes ser capaz de hacer por mantener la relación o proteger tu futuro, toca temas bastantes delicados para un pareja, especialmente lo complicado que puede ser entablar una relación con alguien que alguna vez lo perdió todo y de pronto conocen a alguien y éste se vuelve su todo o lo único que tiene, puede parecer algo hermoso pero es igualmente peligroso.
