Hi, my dear movie and series lovers!

Here is a surprise! At least for me personally. To be honest, I did not expect the continuation of the story, at least not so quickly. I stumbled upon the first episode quite by accident. In telegram, I am subscribed to a channel with a relevant theme. When I started watching, at first I didn’t even understand ... Of course, I recognized the actors, but I decided that this was just a different film with the same actors. But in the end it turned out to be a sequel to The Walking Dead.

The series follows Maggie and Negan traveling into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan cut off from the mainland in search of Maggie's kidnapped son, Hershel. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.

So, the first impression: everything is very, very gloomy! No, don't get me wrong, it's hard to expect a zombie apocalypse show to be filled with rainbows, soft ponies and pink unicorns. But the action of the first series basically unfolded in nature. There were not so many urban plots, but even where they were, the space was most often filled with daylight.

Of course, it's still too early to draw a final conclusion, because there is still only the first episode. But the authors are absolutely right that in the event of an apocalypse, the city will look a thousand times more gloomy. I know this from the war. When you are in nature, you see destroyed houses and ashes from fires and your perception of reality is completely different, even if you know for sure that everything is very bad.

And of course the ongoing conflict between Maggie and Negan. To be honest, it's kind of stretched. The technique is clear - to bring two irreconcilable enemies into a situation where they need each other. Although this is a little different, since only Maggie is implacable. Her feelings are understandable, but to be honest, I don't really understand what else can be gained from this in terms of plot development.

Well. Let's see. In any case, this is more of an announcement than a review.

I love The Walking Dead universe, I didn't know about this movie, thanks for sharing. Watching the trailer gave me the impression of watching a Resident Evil movie, that makes it even more awesome, but I never expected this collaboration of Negan with Magie.

I discovered it by accident myself and was surprised and delighted

What about this sequel - is it really worth it? Honestly, I hope so. I'm very fond of TWD, mostly in its early seasons. It had a lot of promise, but eventually lost its way. Nice to see this review over here. Good job.

They should just let The Walking Dead die already, all they do by continuing it is ruin it even more. It's a good thing I stopped watching it at the prison arc because it was a total bore according to what followed.
