Bollywood Movie Review -Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

I was in class on Saturday when some of my coursemates were xender sharing movies, though we had a test to write that day, some of us didn't care about it because we already read and were only looking forward to the test.

The girl sharing movies then turned to me and asked if I had any movies on my phone, I said no because I had deleted the pictures on my phone last week because I was preparing not to get distracted when reading for my exams, I asked if she did have any, she said yeah, and sent me the ones she had through Xender share.
At night after I was settled with other of my cousemate cause be had to sleep in school since our house was not close to school.

The Review

Before I started the movie "Mrs Chatterjee vs. Norway" I was curious as to what Norway was in the movie that was cleared after I read and dived into the full story.
This movie is said to be a real-life story, "Rani Mukerji" the lead actor in the movie played a very good role in delivering the tale surrounding the story, for me I believe every person must watch this as the movie talks about a lot of things that we can relate with even in our own life
This movie will give you goose bump I can tell you that because the first scene I saw made me hold my breath, as the lead actress Rani ran after her kids whom the Norway government took away saying she was an unfit mother, just because she took care of her kids the way she knew how to. (culture)

This movie talks a lot about how compassionate mothers her, despite being separated from her 5months old baby and her toddler old son for over two years, she didn't lose hope or lose her spirit, seeing this movie made me realise what motherhood is, I tell you mothers are selfless beings, the husband in the movie only cared about his foreign citizenship and he even testified against his wife to being mentally unstable just so he could retain his citizenship and job.

Now I wonder how the person who the movie centres around, (her name, Sagrika Bhattacharya) must have felt when such injustice was done to her by the Norway government, I don't want to put myself in that shoes because I know I would truly go crazy if anything like that were to happen.

This movie is very extraordinary it is a movie that transcends borders and culture, and it is a movie /story that touches every human spirit, the movie explores the differences in cultures, the power and strength of motherhood and also discrimination

The only support Mrs Chattterjee got was from her parents, her husband, brother in law and his parents were just selfish individuals, even when the kids were in the brother in law custody, they never allowed her to visit her children, still, she fought very had to make sure her kids came back to her.

From the start to the finish of the movie, I sat on our school table and watched with a lot of interest, I had never seen anything like it before, Mrs. Chatterjee's faith didn't waver, she never lost hope, she indeed is a true definition of a mother sacrifice.
I cried from the start to the finish of this movie, it was after the credits were rolling in that I discovered the story was even a real-life story, like someone actually went through it and came out successful, at a point it seemed like she wasn't going to win the case against them, I was just crying because she did her best to make sure she got her kids back, I know there was nothing she didn't do to get them back.
She was even threatened with deportation because she fought with a police officer because she was trying to leave the country with her kids after she stole them from the foster care home they were in, she didn't feel scared of being deported, she even said if she could get her kids back she would leave the country for her own country (India).

In a way I try to understand the two welfare ladies who were sent to monitor the affairs of the family, this was because a report was made about the husband being a wife beater, and I could in a way get why they declared her as mentally unfit, as she was always everywhere, she was the only one who took care of the house while she suffered from the beatings of her husband which was wrong.
The welfare ladies saw that she was doing a lot and that was why they felt the kids were supposed to be given better homes, but that still didn't give them the right to separate a mother from her young kids.

Conclusion

I believe this movie should be watched by everyone because there is definitely something one would learn from it, I give kudos to the director of the movie and a shout-out to the actual mother and also the kids involved. She didn't relent and by not preventing she got her kids back and went back to India.

Thank you very much for reading
