¿Qué es Tremendura?

El término Tremendura es usado en mi país Venezuela para hablar de un acto que puede ser catalogado como infantil y que rompe las normas, que arriesga cierto grado de integridad física, moral, y que por lo general está vinculada a las acciones de los niños o niñas durante una etapa de formación.

Cuando algo se hace fuera de la norma es una tremendura.

En mi vida formándome como cineaste o fotógrafa, esta palabra se me ha dicho multiples veces. A veces como incentivo, a veces como señalamiento, pero definitivamente como una distinción de cómo lo que yo estaba planteando podía ser considerado arriesgado.

La primera vez que se me fue dicha fue por una profesora muy querida que luego de presentarle mi proyecto para ese semestre lo llamó un acto de tremendrua. La expresión se quedó conmigo, la sensación de riesgo también. Movilizar de lugar algo que se reprende para volverlo una manera de pensar, de ser, de concebir la creación.

Mi plan es que precisamente sea ese proyecto que ella menciona el primero que les comparta, pero eso será en otro momento...

¿Quién hace las tremenduras?

Mi nombre es Jeilin Espinel y quise hacer de esta cuenta un espacio más que una cuenta personal porque deseo que como proyecto, en un futuro, esta pueda ser una ventana de exposición, dialogo y compartir de muchas tremenduras alrededor del mundo. Pero por los momentos seré sólo yo y mi comprensión del mundo y las artes.

Actualmente busco compartir vídeos, pero me encantaría también compartir fotografías, poemas, dibujos y cualquier tipo de creación que me inspire. Análisis o simplemente cosas que me gustan. Claro, siempre desde el approach edgy de la tremendura.

¿Cuál es el objetivo?

Hago apertura en este espacio en la búsqueda de conseguir una comunidad que le guste crear desde la tremendura, el riesgo, la experimentación. What is tremendura?

The term Tremendura is used in my country Venezuela to talk about an act that can be categorized as childish and that breaks the rules, that risks a certain level of physical and moral integrity, and that is generally linked to the actions of children during a formative stage. In English I would dare to say that its closest word is WILDNESS.

When something is done outside the norm, it is a tremendura.

In my life developing as a cinematographer or photographer, this word has been said to me multiple times. Sometimes as an incentive, sometimes as a warning, but definitely as a distinction of how what I was proposing could be considered daring.

The first time it was said to me was by a very dear professor who, after I presented her my project for that semester, called it an act of tremendura. The expression stayed with me, the feeling of risk as well. To move something that is reprimanded from its original place in order to turn it into a way of thinking, of being, of conceiving creation.

My plan is that it will be precisely this project she's talking be the first one I will share with you, but that will be in another time soon...

Who makes the Tremenduras

My name is Jeilin Espinel and I wanted to make this account a space more than a personal account because I wish that as a project in the future this could be a window of exposure, dialogue and sharing of many tremenduras around the world. But for the moment it will be just me and my understanding of the world and the arts.

Currently I seek to share videos, but I would also love to share photographs, poems, drawings and any kind of creation that inspires me. Analysis or simply things that I like. Of course, always from the edgy approach of the tremendousness.

What is the goal?
