Today I'm here to recommend an anime film that, despite being released a long time ago, is one of the most well-known, discussed, analyzed, and beloved works. This is a story that blends romance, drama, "spirituality," and science fiction, inviting us to enjoy the connection between two people destined to meet.

SYNOPSIS / SUMMARY:
Mitsuha and Taki are complete strangers living entirely different lives. But when Mitsuha makes a wish—to leave her mountain village for the bustling city of Tokyo—their lives become intertwined in a peculiar way. She dreams she's a boy living in Tokyo, while Taki dreams he's a girl from a rural village he's never visited.
What does this newfound connection mean? How will it bring them together? Find out in the latest film from acclaimed director Makoto Shinkai.
OUR PROTAGONISTS - TWO LIVES, TWO WORLDS:
- Taki Tachibana: A young man living in Tokyo, experiencing the city's fast-paced routine. He is impulsive and somewhat anxious, currently studying and working part-time. He is practical and straightforward (despite his anxiety) and doesn't believe in spirituality. However, as the story progresses, he begins to experience profound feelings related to spirituality that he doesn't fully understand.
- Mitsuha Miyamizu: She's a girl living in a small rural town called Itomori. Unlike Taki, she doesn't lead a hectic life... but this means her life is somewhat limited, which makes her dream of escaping this environment and exploring new places that can fulfill her aspirations. She is very sensitive, disciplined, and deeply connected to the family traditions of her family's shrine.
THE EXCHANGE THAT UNITES THEIR DESTINIES:
Despite Taki and Mitsuha's completely opposite lives, this connection is no coincidence. At the beginning of the film, we observe it as a mysterious phenomenon... but little by little, we see that this bond becomes much deeper.
Their souls function as a bond or source of exchange... but when they switch bodies, they learn to see life from a different perspective (very different from their daily routines).
This exchange becomes so frequent that they reach the point of discovering each other's strengths and weaknesses. They also begin to look out for one another (even leaving notes about unfinished tasks, although initially it was difficult to maintain a good relationship because of each other's behavior)... and without realizing it, they end up developing an emotional connection without ever having physically met.
But a very important theme is that both Taki and Mitsuha begin to fall in love without ever having met, and this is quite beautiful because this bond or feeling arises simply from knowing each other's essence, since they have never seen one another (or so they believe).
One detail is that Mitsuha's grandmother was already aware of this phenomenon from the beginning (she even implies that it had happened before). She always spoke of the "threads of time" and the traditions of sake (we will observe the ceremony that Mitsuha performs).
THE ITOMORI DISASTER:
The plot takes an unexpected turn when Taki, expecting the usual body swap, finds it doesn't happen. Desperate, he tries to find Mitsuha, but... how can you find someone you don't really know?
In his desperate search, he discovers that Mitsuha is dead... but not only that, she belongs to a different time. Her death was caused by a comet that fell in her town (years ago; he even saw it from the town). Driven by things he doesn't fully understand, Taki decides to intervene, and thanks to the connection he had with Mitsuha, he manages to return to her body to warn everyone of the disaster.
WHAT'S YOUR NAME?:
After crossing the boundaries of time, they both begin to forget their names and who the person is with whom they magically swapped bodies. Taki decides to write his name on Mitsuha's hand so he won't forget, but instead he writes "I love you."
They both forget everything about each other... but the feeling remains. Years pass and they still feel a void, as if they've lost something important but never know what it is. But then, there was a moment when their eyes met and they truly found in each other what they were looking for... Because this "lost" had already been recovered in one way or another without them fully understanding why.
Finally, I highly recommend this movie... It's not just a romantic story; it explores destiny and the bonds we can forge when we connect with others and realize they are "The One." It touches on many profound emotions that (for me) combined with the animation and soundtrack make it truly special.

El día de hoy vengo a recomendarles una película de anime que, a pesar de que se estrenó hace mucho y es una de las obras más conocidas, comentadas, analizadas y queridas. Esta es una historia que mezcla romance, drama, "espiritualidad" y ciencia ficción que nos invita a disfrutar de esta conexión de dos personas que se encuentran destinadas a encontrarse.

SINOPSIS / RESUMEN:
Mitsuha y Taki son dos completos desconocidos que viven vidas totalmente diferentes. Pero cuando Mitsuha pide un deseo: dejar su pueblo de montaña para ir a la bulliciosa ciudad de Tokio, sus vidas se conectan de una forma peculiar. Ella sueña que es un chico que vive en Tokio, mientras que Taki sueña que es una chica de un pueblo rural que nunca ha visitado.
¿Qué significa esta nueva conexión? ¿Cómo los unirá? Descúbrelo en la última película del aclamado director Makoto Shinkai.
NUESTROS PROTAGONISTAS - DOS VIDAS, DOS MUNDOS:
- Taki Tachibana: Un chico que vive en Tokio, y vive la rutina acelerada de la ciudad. Es una persona muy impulsiva y algo ansioso, actualmente se encuentra estudiando y trabajando a medio tiempo. Es una persona práctica y directa (A pesar de ser ansioso), no cree en los temas relacionados a la espiritualidad, sin embargo, a medida que avanza la historia empieza a tener sentimientos profundos que no entiende del todo (Relacionándolo a ese tema).
- Mitsuha Miyamizu: Es una chica viviendo en un pequeño pueblo rural llamado Itomori, a diferencia de Taki no mantiene una rutina acelerada... pero esto implica que su vida se encuentre algo limitada, lo cual la invita a soñar con escapar de este entorno y conocer nuevos lugares capaz de cumplir sus expectativas. Ella es muy sensible, disciplinada y conectada con las tradiciones familiares del santuario de su familia.
EL INTERCAMBIO QUE UNE SUS DESTINOS:
A pesar de que Taki y Mitsuha tengan unas vidas completamente opuestas, esta conexión no es casualidad. Al inicio de la película lo observamos como un fenómeno misterioso... pero poco a poco observaremos que este vínculo se vuelve mucho más profundo.
El alma de ambos, funciona como un lazo o fuente de intercambio... pero cuando ambos cambian de cuerpos, aprenden a ver la vida desde otra perspectiva (Muy opuesta a la rutina diaria de los dos).
Este tipo de intercambio se vuelve muy seguido que llegan a tal punto de descubrir fortalezas y carencias, de igual forma empiezan a cuidarse mutuamente (Incluso dejando notitas de los pendientes que quedaron por finalizar, aunque digamos que al inicio era algo complicado tener una buena relación por lo que hacía el otro)... y sin darse cuenta terminan desarrollando una complicidad emocional sin haberse visto físicamente.
Pero un tema muy importante es que tanto Taki como Mitsuha comienzan a enamorarse sin conocerse, y esto es algo muy bonito debido a que este vínculo o sentimiento surge solo por conocer su esencia, ya que ambos nunca se han visto (O esto es lo que creen).
Un detalle es que la abuela de Mitsuha ya conocía de este fenómeno desde un inicio (Incluso da a entender que ya había ocurrido antes). Ella siempre hablaba de los "hilos del tiempo" y las tradiciones del sake (Observaremos la ceremonia que realiza Mitsuha).
EL DESASTRE DE ITOMORI:
La trama nos da un giro inesperado, cuando Taki esperaba el intercambio de cuerpos como estaba acostumbrado pero este suceso no pasa, desesperado intenta a buscar a Mitsuha, pero... ¿Cómo puedes encontrar a una persona que no conoces realmente?.
En esta gran búsqueda, descubre que Mitsuha está muerta... pero no sólo eso, sino que pertenece a un tiempo diferente. Su muerte fue a causa de un cometa que cayó en su pueblo (Hace años, incluso él pudo apreciarlo desde la ciudad). Taki, impulsado por cosas que no comprende del todo decide intervenir, y gracias a este vínculo que tenía con Mitsuha, logra volver al cuerpo de ella para advertir a todos del desastre.
¿CUÁL ES TU NOMBRE?:
Tras cruzar con los límites del tiempo, ambos empiezan a olvidarse de sus nombres y quién es la persona con la que intercambiaban cuerpos de una manera "mágica", Taki decide escribir su nombre en la mano de Mitsuha para no olvidarse, pero en lugar de ello escribió un "Te amo".
Ambos olvidan todo de la otra persona... pero el sentimiento permanece. Pasan los años y siguen sintiendo un vacío, como si hubieran perdido algo importante pero nunca saben que es. Pero, hubo un instante en la que cruzan miradas al mismo tiempo y encuentran realmente en la otra persona lo que estaban buscando... Pues esta "perdida" ya la había recuperado de alguna u otra forma sin entenderlo completamente.
Finalmente, recomiendo mucho esta película... Ya que no es sólo una historia romántica, sino que habla del destino y los vínculos que podemos detener al relacionarnos con los demás y darnos cuenta que es "Esa persona". Toca muchas emociones profundas que (Para mí) al juntarse con la animación y el soundtrack valen oro.
