And now we start with the most important part... many of you will be familiar with Disney's animated films The Lion King, and how Simba grew up to the song "Hakuna Matata" and later dethroned his uncle, who took over the entire pride after his father's death. Today we'll talk about a story that happened long before "Pride Rock," and without further ado, this story is from the movie Mufasa.

SYNOPSIS / SUMMARY:

A flood separates the young lion Mufasa from his parents, but the lion king takes him in as one of his own after proving his bravery. As he grows up, a banished lion pack and the jealousy of his adopted sister endanger him.

THE STORY OF A CUB WHO CAME INTO THE WORLD WITHOUT A DROP OF NOBILITY IN HIS BLOOD:

Before our protagonist's story is told, the plot begins with Simba, who must go to find Nala since she is far from Pride Rock. So he leaves Timon, Pumbaa, and Rafiki in the care of Kiara (her name is the same as mine, LOL), who makes it very clear to him that "no stories."

I imagine that those who saw the animated Lion King movies must have an idea of ​​what Timon and Pumbaa are like, so they tell him the true story of how they defeated Scar in the first movie (A parody telling their altered reality of how Timon fights Scar and is subsequently eaten🤣).

Between storms and scares from the three, old Rafiki decides to talk to him about courage... the story of a puppy who came into the world without a drop of nobility in his blood... a story that would change their lives forever...

This is where the movie of the great little Mufasa begins, who with his parents goes in search of the Milele (It means "forever"), this place they are heading to would be paradise for them... Unfortunately not everything is rosy, Mufasa loses his parents in a flood...

Mufasa later meets Taka, who helps him escape the crocodiles. Taka was destined to continue his father's reign; he had been trained to do so since childhood; meanwhile, Mufasa wasn't fully accepted within the pack (they always treated him like a wanderer), which caused him to spend more time with the females, training him in new skills and a different way of seeing things.

MUFASA AND TAKA, "SIMULTANEOUS GROWTH - DIFFERENTIATED THINKING":

One of the most interesting aspects of Mufasa's growth as Taka finds him after saving him from the crocodiles is their relationship as brothers. Although they didn't fully accept Mufasa, as he established a small rivalry with Taka's father because he "would steal his son's throne"... one might think it was just a mild annoyance, but as the years went by, a rivalry began to form between them.

On the one hand, Taka sought recognition; he always believed that the role of leader would be inherited and no one could take that place from him. On the other, Mufasa demonstrated commitment and certain qualities of what it means to be a leader.

From my perspective, this film attempted to explain what lay behind the films we already knew. Why Scar didn't start out as "the villain of the movie," but rather as a being with internal wounds and, along with wrong decisions, led him to a very wrong transformation of himself.

MUFASA AND THE CHALLENGES THAT FORGED HIS IDENTITY:

This film shows real trials, including challenges, dangers, fear, and loss. Each of these trials shaped Mufasa. Every step and action he took made him much wiser, more aware of new responsibilities without solid support, which meant protecting his own and fighting when necessary.

Before the end of the film, we realize that the abandoned, fearful, and low-profile cub no longer exists. He is now a lion capable of facing anything, always firmly upholding each of the principles he learned during his painful times of sacrifice. This is reflected when he arrives at the famous "Milele" and speaks to all the animals to fight the pack that was in pursuit of them, where he describes the cycle of life as "their fight is my fight."

DETAILS TO HIGHLIGHT AND WHERE IT COULD BE IMPROVED:

• On a visual level, this almost realistic style maintains a great deal of expressiveness. The animals' detail in terms of fur, movement, and expressiveness helps us clearly understand the situation the characters are in.

• Regarding the music, good instrumental pieces are presented precisely in emotional moments. There are songs I can highlight that I can't get out of my head, like "Yo siempre quise un hermano" (I Always Wanted a Brother) or "Di Que Eres Tú" (Say It's You); however, I feel it doesn't replace the classics (in comparison, I love the song "Esta Noche Es Para Amar" (This Night Is for Love).

• I really like that the film doesn't just tell an adventure, but it touches on various topics that really happen: At the leadership level and what a leader really does / Responsibility / The origin, despite it mattering where you come from... it matters much more where one is going and what one inherited from where one belongs / Betrayals sometimes don't come from a stranger / Destiny is chosen by oneself, confirm that one makes the decisions oneself.

As a personal score, I'd give it a 7.5, as it's a visually stunning work, with several meaningful and profound moments. However, there are moments where it feels overpowered, while in others it lacks a bit more narrative.

Y ahora sí empezamos con lo más importante... muchos conocerán las películas animadas de Disney del Rey León, y como Simba creció bajo la canción "Hakuna Matata" para posteriormente destronar a su tío que se apoderó de toda la manada tras la muerte de su padre. El día de hoy hablaremos de una historia que sucedió mucho antes de llegar a "La Roca del Rey", y sin más preámbulos, esta historia es de la película Mufasa.

SINOPSIS / RESUMEN:

Una inundación separa al cachorro Mufasa de sus padres, pero el rey de los leones lo acoge como a uno de los suyos tras demostrar su valentía. Al crecer, una manada de leones desterrados y los celos de su hermana adoptiva lo pondrán en peligro.

LA HISTORIA DE UN CACHORRO QUE VINO AL MUNDO SIN UNA GOTA DE NOBLEZA EN LA SANGRE:

Antes de que se cuente la historia de nuestro protagonista, la trama inicia con Simba, que debe ir por Nala ya que se encuentra lejos de la roca del rey, así que deja a Timón, Pumba y Rafiki a cuidado de Kiara (Se llama como yo JAJAJAJA), el cual le deja muy en claro que "nada de historias".

Imagino quienes vieron las películas animadas del Rey león se deben dar una idea como son tanto Timón y Pumba, así que le cuentan la historia real de como derrotaron a Scar en la primera película (Una parodia contando su realidad alterada de como Timón pelea contra Scar y posteriormente se lo comen🤣).

Entre tormentas y sustos por parte de los 3, el viejo Rafiki decide hablarle sobre la valentía... la historia de un cachorro que vino al mundo sin una gota de nobleza en la sangre... una historia que cambiarían las vidas para siempre...

Aquí es donde empieza la película del pequeño gran Mufasa, el cual con sus padres se van a la búsqueda del Milele (Significa "por siempre), este lugar al que se dirigen sería el paraíso para ellos... Lamentablemente no todo es color de rosas, Mufasa pierde a sus padres en una inundación...

Posteriormente Mufasa se encuentra con Taka, el cual lo ayuda a salvarse de los cocodrilos. Taka estaba destinado a seguir con el reinado de su padre, fue entrenado desde niño para ello; mientras tanto, Mufasa no fue aceptado del todo dentro de la manada (lo trataron siempre como vagabundo), lo cual generó que pase mas tiempo con las hembras, siendo entrenado a nuevas habilidades y una manera distinta de ver las cosas.

MUFASA Y TAKA, "CRECIMIENTO SIMULTANEO - PENSAMIENTO DIFERENCIADO":

Una de las partes más interesantes sobre el crecimiento de Mufasa mientras es encontrado por Taka después de salvarlo de los cocodrilos es la relación que tienen como hermanos. A pesar de que no aceptaban del todo a Mufasa, ya que establecía una pequeña rivalidad con el padre de Taka debido a que "le robaría el trono a su hijo"... uno puede pensar que solo es una ligera incomodidad, pero con el pasar de los años se va formando una rivalidad entre ellos.

Por un lado Taka buscaba ser reconocido, siempre pensó que el rol del líder le sería heredado y nadie podía quitarle ese lugar. y por el otro Mufasa demostraba compromiso y ciertas cualidades de que es ser un líder.

Desde mi perspectiva, esta película intentó dar una explicación que había detrás de las películas que ya conocíamos. El por que Scar no inició siendo "el villano de la película", sino como un ser con heridas internas y junto a decisiones equivocadas lo llevaron a una transformación muy errada de sí.

MUFASA Y LOS DESAFIOS QUE FORJARON SU IDENTIDAD:

Esta película muestra pruebas reales, entre desafíos, peligros, miedo y pérdida; cada una de estas pruebas fueron moldeando a Mufasa, cada paso y acción que realizaba lo volvía mucho más sabio, más consciente de nuevas responsabilidades sin un apoyo sólido, lo que significaba proteger a los suyos y luchar de ser necesario.

Antes de finalizar la película, nos damos cuenta que ese cachorro abandonado, temeroso y manteniendo un perfil bajo ya no existe... Ahora es un león capaz de afrontar todo, poniendo siempre con firmeza cada uno de los principios que aprendió en sus tiempos dolorosos de sacrificio. Esto se ve reflejado cuando llega al famoso "Milele" y habla con todos los animales para luchar contra la manada que estaba en busca de ellos, donde indica el ciclo de la vida "su pelea es mi pelea".

DETALLES A DESTACAR Y QUE PUDO MEJORAR:

• A nivel visual, este estilo casi realista mantiene mucha expresividad. El detalle de los animales a nivel de pelaje, movimientos y expresividad, hace entender a uno de manera correcta la situación en la que se encuentran los personajes.

• Con respecto a la música, se presentan buenas piezas instrumentales de manera precisa en los momentos emotivos. Hay canciones que puedo destacar y que no se me quitan de la cabeza como "Yo siempre quise un hermano" o "Di que eres tú"; sin embargo, siento que no remplaza a los clásicos (A nivel de comparación, la canción "Esta noche es para amar" me encanta).

• Me agrada mucho que la película no sólo cuenta una aventura, sino que toca diversos temas que suceden realmente: A nivel de liderazgo y que es lo que hace realmente un líder / Responsabilidad / El origen a pesar de importar de donde vienes... importa mucho más hacía donde uno se dirige y que es lo que heredó de su lugar de pertenencia / Las traiciones a veces no vienen vienen de un desconocido / El destino lo elije uno mismo confirme vaya tomando uno mismo las decisiones.

Como puntuación personal le daría un 7.5; ya que es una obra visualmente impresionante, con diversos momentos significativos y profundos; sin embargo, hay situaciones en las cuales se sienten sobrecargados mientras que en otros faltó un poco más de narrativa.
