Spider-Man: No Way Home review

On the first day of Christmas, my true love came to me... do you know the song? It is quite a nice one, but luckily, my true love came to me several years ago, and on the first day of Christmas, I actually had a chance to go to the cinema with that person. And this time we decided to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home.

But, the sad part of the story is that my wife really hates superhero movies, but she somehow liked the old Spider-Man movies, and thus, she hoped and expected that this might turn into something like that. Well, it didn't!

Spider-Man: No Way Home - the plot!

The identity of Spider-Man has been made known to the entire world, and he is even accused of being the evil after killing Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Life is terrible, and not only is he suffering, but his friends are suffering because no univestiry will give them entry because they have been affiliated with Spider-Man.

To fix this, Peter Parker speaks to Doctor Strange who will make a spell that will make people forget about what happened, and thus, Peter Parker will once again be himself without all this trouble.

But, while Doctor Strange is casting the spell, Peter Parker understands that it wouldn't be good if MJ would forget about his identity, and suddenly the list is growing (in the midst of Doctor Strange casting the spell). This causes trouble, and the spell goes bananas, and suddenly characters from the past knowing the true identity of Spider-Man from other dimensions and universes comes showing up (and they are not nice ones). Now he has an even greater challenge!

Is Spider-Man: No Way Home worth watching?

So, I watched it, and I mostly enjoyed it. But, I should also say that the movie is truly a Marvel movie, and not so much like the traditional Spider-Man movies. It is just packed with effects and with super-hero stuff, so when Doctor Strange starts working in all dimensions, my wife wanted to leave the cinema. That was too much for her! However, we stayed until the end, and I can say that if you like the new Marvel style, then I believe you will also enjoy this movie.

The story could have been more interesting, but seeing the need for a new Spider-Man movie, this is probably as good as it gets.

Should you watch it?

For the sake of my wife, I wish we would have seen The Gucci House or West Side Story instead. To me, the movie was satisfying. Nothing special, but fine for some hours in front of a big screen eating nachos!

Have you seen it? How did you like Spider-Man: No Way Home?

I watched this in theaters last night with my wife actually. Funny though - my wife was the one who dragged me there because she is a fan of Marvel movies. So our situation is basically the exact opposite as yours lol.

I did like the film overall. Marvel movies are "popcorn" to me, but they are usually well done and pretty entertaining. To me it felt like they were wrapping up the Spiderman story and I got the impression that we won't be seeing Spiderman for a long time. It had that "End Game" sort of vibe to it.

Like "End Game," for me it was one of those movies where I enjoyed what I was watching and thought it was a good movie, but I couldn't watch it again.

I get your feelings, and I feel somehow the same way... but to me, the Endgame movie with the Avengers is a movie I actually could watch again... this isn't :(

I liked watching this movie. specially the part where I get to watch Tobey . I grew up watching Tobey as spiderman , so I was really happy to see him as spiderman again.

Yeah, when the Spider-Man characters united was really a highlight, I enjoyed that part a lot as well!
