Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024) - Movie Review
When the country's most vital defense system gets in the wrong hands the military force and agreement with India government have no other choice but to revert to their previously court marshalled soldiers — Freddy and Rocky. Freddie are the finest soldiers the military force have been privileged to have. They can put anything on the line for the sake of their nation, even if it requires their lives. But in this movie something else was required of them to sacrifice, and that is the third person in their circle; Kabir.
Kabir, aka Mr X, on the other hand is a passionate scientist who after the passing of his father who was also a scientist took it upon himself to uphold his father's work and take it to the highest point possible. Freddy, Rocky and Kabir where like the three musketeers. They all got along well and never let anything get in between them. But that all changed the day Kabir unveiled the project he had been working on the violates everything that signifies moral ethics, both as a nation and the force.
I'll be honest, one of the things that really dragged my attention to this movie was the sight of Akshay Kumar. A very iconic and we'll recognized actor in Bollywood and movie industry in general. He made quite an interesting impression in the movie. He's second, Tiger Shroff, who played the role of Rocky didn't do bad either. I loved their chemistry in the movie. Freddy was more of the matured, perfectionist, calculative one while Rocky was more of the reckless, wild, swift and also fun one.
I was begin to think they were the guys I'll tag as my favorite actors in the movie, until the entrance of Kabir. He's delivery was something else. His character was what I found fascinating the most, which may be kind of ironic considering he played the role of a villain. But that's just how it was for me. He really killed his role.
I enjoyed the action. But where I had problem in the movie was how they made the main characters, Freddy and Rocky, seem almost invisible. If they were super soldiers it may have been a little bit understanding. But the fact that they are just mortals made it looked like their abilities were a little bit over hyped. There some fight scenes that got me shaking my head and I was like, "For real?". But other than that, the visuals were quite impressive.
It also came with comedy aspects which I enjoyed. They knew the perfect time intervals to place the action and the comedy that they landed perfectly well. I give the movie 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. It is a movie I can say was worth the watch.
