It's funny that it wasn't until middle of last year that I watched this movie, because I'm quite a fanatic of Bollywood movies. I got to know about the movie when I travelled home to see my aunt then my cousin asked me if I have watched Love Impossible and I said no. He recommended that I really check the movie out and began to narrate the movie to me. Usually I don't like people doing this because I wouldn't want them to ruin the enjoyment for me when I finally begin to watch it, so I just had to politely stop him and told him I'll see it for myself.

I was bit of scared that my cousin had given me too much information and might ruin the fun experience for me, but I was wrong. I still ended up enjoying the movie. Love Impossible, as the name implies, is a romantic movie, or should I say, a love movie. I think part of what made me really stick with the movie has to the with my cousin's recommendation because at the beginning it seemed so casual that I'd mistake it for a regular kind of romantic movie. But this was quite different.

This movie paints the picture of a boy who is madly in love with a girl in his school but never lets his feelings known to her. The boy and the girl are somewhat opposite; in the sense that the boy is brainy and performs excellently academically. His one of those tech guys, so you can call him a nerd. The girl on the other side doesn't really care about her studies. What she cares about is partying with her friends and anything that has to do with enjoying life and living it to the fullest. The only little similarity they have between themselves is that they come from rich families.

Abhay, being play by Uday Chopra, always stalks Alisha (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) almost everywhere she goes when he has the chance. One day when he was following her after she had a party with her friends and got drunk she fell into across a bridge and entered into the water. Abhay without hesitation rushed into the water and rescued Alisha and took her home together with her friends. But Alisha wasn't really fully conscious during this event so she wasn't fully aware of what was going on or get to see Abhay's face or even tell him thank you.

On hearing the news, Alisha's father is upset about the lifestyle of his daughter and how she risked her life and decided she switch schools. The was the last time Abhay saw Alisha and his school. Many years went by and Abhay and Alisha were both done with their education and were pursuing their careers. But somehow, faith still made them cross paths again. This was like a second chance for Abhay finally connect with the love of his life.

The movie contains shades of romance accompanied with comedy. When Abhay saved Alisha from drowning was when seemed to me like when the film began to get more serious. It was interesting seeing to opposites, the guy on one side who is all nerdy and doesn't really have a great fashion sense and then a guy on the other side who is all fun and classy who all the guys are drooling over end up together. In the normal sense it would look like Abhay doesn't have a chance with her. All the guys she had hanged out with in her life, including the one that she had a daughter for were not of the likes of Abhay. But at the end they compacted with each other just fine.

Sometimes love just happens and it can even be with the last kind of person that you expect. Abhay relentless on his pursuit the love of his life despite the odds like there personality differences and even the far distance from there locations, and even when he met her as a mom was really inspiring. I think much credit should be accorded to his father for encouraging him not to give up on love. We could tell that his Love for Alisha was genuine because what he wanted for her more than anything was her happiness and even when it seemed like she didn't notice him he was still fine with it.

It was nice to see the nerd finally get the girl at the end of the movie. I guess whoever is meant for someone is meant for someone regardless of the odds. The love which Abhay termed as impossible wasn't actually impossible after all. Even though the movie is quite old, being released 2010, it still was fun to watch. I think it was really genius the way Abhay revealed to Alisha who he had been right from time and how we had cared for her through a dance that Alisha's daughter did in school which was more of a story directed to Alisha. My rating on the movie is 7/10.
