Thunderbolts (2025) - A risky, but lackluster experiment.
Marvel Studios tried to deliver a film with an unconventional team of anti-heroes, but the result is far from memorable. Thunderbolts brings interesting characters like Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), and Red Guardian (David Harbour) to the forefront, but fails to give them a captivating story.
The film starts out promising, with a premise that could have brought a more mature and tense approach to the Thunderbolts team. However, along the way, the script becomes predictable, with a narrative thread that has no moments of real impact. The action simply feels disorganized.
I literally just wasted my time giving my own attention until the end. Marvel has set a standard in terms of special effects, but Thunderbolts does not bring anything new. The fight scenes are well done, but suffer from a lack of a distinct style—they seem like a collage of moments taken from other films in the franchise.
If Marvel wanted Thunderbolts to be their Suicide Squad equivalent, the experiment failed. Instead of being a groundbreaking production, it remains a predictable experience with no significant impact. For Marvel fans, it may just be a "check-it-off" movie without much excitement.

It’s really unfortunate that the story fell into the trap of repetition and weak writing, especially when Marvel fans are waiting for more mature and bold experiences.
Exactly, you pointed out perfectly. I hope that in the future they will take more risks and offer truly memorable productions. Personally, i believe that the movie would have been much more captivating if it had a more unpredictable script and better-developed characters.
