When I Fly Towards You es una serie china de romance, comedia y drama bastante ligera que consta de 24 capítulos y se puede ver en Netflix. Quienes me conocen saben que yo y el amor romántico llevamos tiempo alejados, nada que ver el uno con el otro, pero desde que vi esta serie tan bonita siento que algo despertó en mí, ahora ando toda rara y culpo a esta serie, sí, ella es la culpable (no se crean, aún defiendo mi soltería a capa y espada 😆).

La serie gira en torno a la historia de amor de Su Zaizai y Zhang Lurang, dos adolescentes que se conocieron en el colegio y desarrollaron sentimientos el uno por el otro. Esto que les cuento no es spoiler, desde el opening de la serie ya se sabe que van a quedar juntos, el chiste aquí es ver el bonito, sano y divertido desarrollo de su romance. Su Zaizai desde que conoció a Zhan Lurang quedo encantada con él, sin miedo a nada se lo fue demostrando y se terminó creando una bonita amistad que inevitablemente termino en algo más con el pasar del tiempo, el amor de ellos simplemente tenía que ser y fue, así de simple, sin dramas fastidiosos de por medio.

Su Zaizai y Zhan Lurang tienen amigos que también son parte importante de la trama, ellos son protagonistas de sus propias historias de amor en la serie y otras situaciones de la vida cotidiana, lo que hace todo más dinámico, ya que no solo podemos conocer a los protagonistas y sus vidas personales, sino que tenemos un abanico de personajes que también tienen cosas que enseñarnos.

Esta serie la vi inicialmente buscando algo diferente para ver, ya que comencé el año consumiendo puro cine de terror, lo que me hizo pensar "vamos a calmarnos, veamos un romance" y miren, no me arrepiento de nada, qué historia tan bonita nos muestra "When I Fly Towards You", es simple, pero encantadora. La serie nos muestra en sus 24 capítulos como poco a poco Su Zaizai y Zhang Lurang van acercándose desde que son adolescentes, hasta que llegan a la adultez. Los veremos en el colegio, luego en la universidad para finalmente verlos en sus respectivos trabajos, haciendo sus vidas, pero compartiendo lo que los unió: el amor que se tienen el uno por el otro.

Lo que más me gusto de esta serie es el amor bonito de los protagonistas, aquí dos personas se conocieron, se gustaron y se unieron, no hay drama intenso de por medio, no hay cavidad para terceras personas, los terceros que aparecían eran simplemente ignorados, Su Zaizai y Zhang Lurang se querían, lo sabían y eso siempre fue suficiente, que sus personalidades fueran distintas nunca fue un problema (el tranquilo y ella muy alegre), se complementaban mutuamente, se apoyaban y cada uno aportaba lo suyo a su relación.

El personaje de Su Zaizai fue mi favorito, me sentí identificada con ella en muchas cosas y me encanto que no era el típico personaje tímido que no sabía defenderse, a ella le gusto su muchacho, se le acercó y se lo demostró (es de las mías, como buena sagitariana 😌). Cuando venía alguien a querer fastidiar, los ponía en su lugar y listo, cero drama, cero dar vueltas y crear enredados innecesarios, me encanta.

La estética de la serie me enamoro totalmente, es muy retro por lo que genera cierta nostalgia y como los años van pasando es interesante ver como todo se va volviendo moderno. La música también muy bonita, pega muy bien con las escenas, lo que ayuda a que uno como espectador se meta más en la historia y sienta emociones... Hablando de emociones, esta serie me hizo sentir muchas, yo sonreía, se me aguaban los ojos, no quería ni dormir para seguir viéndola, pero todo por lo bonito, porque, ¿saben?, creo que el drama abunda y uno se acostumbra a ver puro drama en las historias de amor, entonces me resulto demasiado refrescante el ver un amor tan sencillo y bonito, sin infidelidades, traumas feos, muertes o que sé yo.

Si son unos románticos empedernidos o simplemente les gustan las historias de amor sanas, bonitas y diferentes (curioso que un amor sano hoy día sea catalogado como diferente, pero sí 😅), quieren pasar un buen rato riéndose, suspirando y soñando, les recomiendo esta serie que con su simpleza cumple su cometido, superando expectativas.

Those who know me are aware that me and romantic love have been distant for a while, nothing to do with each other, but since I saw this cute series I feel that something woke up in me, now I'm acting all weird and I blame this series, yes, it's the culprit (don't believe it, I still defend my single status with all my strength 😆).

The series centers around the love story of Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang, two teenagers who met in high school and developed feelings for each other. This is not a spoiler, from the opening of the series we already know that they are going to end up together, the point here is to see the beautiful, healthy and fun development of their romance. Su Zaizai since she met Zhan Lurang was charmed by him, without fear of anything she demonstrated it to him and ended up creating a beautiful friendship that inevitably ended in something more with the passing of time, their love simply had to be and it was, just like that, without annoying dramas in between.

Su Zaizai and Zhan Lurang have friends who are also an important part of the plot, they are protagonists of their own love stories in the series and other situations of everyday life, which makes everything more dynamic, since we not only get to know the protagonists and their personal lives, but we have a range of characters who also have things to teach us.

I initially watched this series looking for something different to watch, since I started the year consuming only horror movies and series, which made me think "let's calm down, let's watch a romance" and look, I don't regret anything, what a beautiful story "When I Fly Towards You" shows us, it's simple, but charming. The series shows us in its 24 chapters how little by little Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang get closer since they are teenagers, until they reach adulthood. We will see them in high school, then in college to finally see them in their respective jobs, living their lives, but sharing what brought them together: the love they have for each other.

What I liked most about this series is the beautiful love of the main characters, two people met, liked each other and got together, there is no intense drama in between, there is no cavity for third parties, the third parties that appeared were simply ignored, Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang loved each other, they knew it and that was always enough, that their personalities were different was never a problem (he was quiet and she was very cheerful), they complemented each other, they supported each other and each one contributed their own to their relationship.

Su Zaizai's character was my favorite, I felt identified with her in many things and I loved that she wasn't the typical shy girl who didn't know how to defend herself, she liked her boy, she approached him and showed him (she's one of mine, as a good Sagittarian 😌). When someone came to want to annoy, she put them in their place and that's it, zero drama, zero spinning and creating unnecessary entanglements, I love it.

The aesthetics of the series totally captivated me, it's very retro so it generates a certain feeling of nostalgia and as the years go by it's interesting to see how everything is becoming modern. The music is also very nice, it fits very well with the scenes, which helps one as a viewer to get more into the story and feel emotions... Speaking of emotions, this series made me feel many, I smiled, my eyes watered, I didn't even want to sleep to keep watching it, but all because of the cuteness, because, you know?, I think drama abounds and one gets used to see pure drama in love stories, so I found it very refreshing to see a love so simple and beautiful, without infidelities, ugly traumas, deaths or whatever.

If you are die-hard romantic or just like healthy, beautiful and different love stories (curious that a healthy love today is cataloged as different, but yes 😅), you want to have a good time laughing, sighing and dreaming, I recommend this series that with its simplicity fulfills its purpose, surpassing expectations.
