GIRL IN THE BASEMENT, MOVIE REVIEW AND SYNOPSIS.

Girl is the basement(2021), is a true life story, it's a crime and horrific movie, it tells the story of a girl called Sarah who was locked like a caged animal in the basement for 20year, she was locked a day to her 18year old birthday by her father who is wicked , dreadful and satanic . She wasn't just locked, but sexually, physically and emotionally abused.

Sarah was a happy girl, very vibrant and who had her dreams to see the world, she was in love and happy, but her father will always interfere and ruin her happiness. She was stubborn, outspoken and will always argue with her dad. She was really happy and eager to leave the house when she turns 18 without being stopped by her dad .Her dad was extremely protective of her , unknown to her, he had his plan .
Which was to lock her up in the basement in their house.

A day to her 18 years old birthday , her dad called her for help at the basement, no one was at home, that was how he lured her to the basement, her belongings were there, she cried for days , but no one was able to hear her voice, her mom went shopping, came back and never found her.
Her mom, sister and the police were in search of her but couldn't find her. She tried escaping from the basement but there was no way out and no one could hear her scream .

The part of the movie that's got me screaming was the fact that her own father raped her, he raped her continuously, she got pregnant, gave birth to four kids, lost one child , after being beaten mercilessly by her dad .because he realized she was digging a hole to escape with her kids .

In the basement, she kept memories of Christ her lover, who she met 20year later, she kept remembering their moment on his motorcycle and parties .

Her first child suffered difficulty in breathing because of the lack of ventilation. She became really protective of her dad, so her sick dad don't molest her. Her kids grew up to start calling him dad, he comes to the basement to give them food and some household items.
Her children became really eager to go out of the basement , but they never succeeded.

After he attempted killing them ,by filling the room with gas, her daughter was unable to breathe,the only option was taking her to the hospital for proper medication, that was how Sarah was able to came out after 20yearz, and that was how she she gained her freedom after so many years. Her dad was sent to jail and she was happy and free again.

The girl in the basement, is a true life story, with a theme of crime, wickedness and strength. It's worth watching.
