The situation with AI, even for large companies and investors, remains confusing, very confusing still. And I made the previous comment because my work requires me to be close to these issues, so I know very well that developers currently investing in AI to try to democratize its use are spending billions and seeing very little return. This will take time. What is truly worrying is the ever-increasing cost of PC components and game development in general.

You know, apparently these companies don't know what to do. They're all doing AI, so they're doing the same thing so investors don't punish them. All experts (supposedly regardless of their worldview/approach to AI) believe we've squeezed everything we can out of this technology, and many are still trying... Because how can you explain to investors that five companies invested in AI, the first and second succeeded, and you abandoned financing before discovering your technology? The guy would be fired on the spot, with a gargantuan debt for life.
