Film soundtracks and theme tunes: [Personal Opinión] ESP/ENG
First of all, I'd like to thank my daughter @mairene1 for the invitation and also @avdesing for suggesting this topic for the community. The truth is, there are many songs and movie themes that I enjoy; I even have some playlists on YouTube with various film themes. For example, one that I've always loved is "Hopelessly Devoted to You" by Olivia Newton-John. It reminds me so much of the time when the movie Grease came out. Here in Venezuela, it caused quite a stir among young people. My wife and I went to see it at the cinema when we were dating. That cinema (called "Cine Imperio") is sadly abandoned now, but the memories remain. At that time, and because of the movie, I remember that 1950s-style outfits became fashionable, even though we were living in the 1970s, and my girlfriend (now my wife) wore one of those wide skirts that the girls wear in the movie.
Ante todo me gustaría agradecer la invitación de mi hija @mairene1 y también a @avdesing por su proponer este tema para la comunidad. La verdad es que hay muchas canciones o temas de película que yo disfruto, incluso tengo algunas listas de reproducción en youtube con varios temas de películas. Por ejemplo uno de los que siempre me ha gustado es Hopelessly Devoted to You de Olivia Newton-John, me recuerda muchísimo a esa época cuando salió la película Vasselina, aquí en Venezuela causó revuelo entre los jóvenes, mi esposa y yo fuimos a verla al cine y cuando eso éramos novios, ese cine (se llamaba "Cine Imperio") hoy en día lamentablemente está abandonado pero quedan los recuerdos quedan. En esos tiempos y por causa de la película recuerdo que se pusieron de moda los atuendos al estilo de los años 50, a pesar de que estábamos viviendo en los 70, y mi novia (actualmente mi esposa) usaba una falda amplia de esas que usan las chicas en la película.
Another one I particularly remember is one that appeared in the movie The Bodyguard, but not exactly the main theme. I liked "I Have Nothing" better; I feel like it had more feeling, I don't know, or maybe it's because it marks a crucial moment in the movie where the protagonist (the bodyguard) tries to save her. Besides, I've always really liked Whitney Houston's voice. Back then, video rental stores were very popular, where you could rent movies to watch on your days off, so I rented several, including The Bodyguard. It was a really nice time because I remember it was July vacation, and we always had visits from our relatives from the state of Zulia (about eight hours from the city where we lived), but now they all live even farther away, in the USA.
Otro que recuerdo particularmente es uno que aparecía en la película El Guardaespaldas, pero no precisamente el tema principal, a mi me gustaba más uno I Have Nothing, siento que tenía como más sentimiento, no sé, o es porque marca un momento crucial en la película donde el protagonista (el guardaespaldas) intenta salvarla. Además siempre me ha gustado mucho la voz de Whitney Houston. En ese tiempo estaban muy de moda los videoclubs donde uno alquilaba las películas para verlas los días libres, así que yo alquilé varias, entre esas El Guardaespaldas, era una época muy bonita porque recuerdo que eran vacaciones de Julio y siempre recibíamos la visita de nuestros familiares del estado Zulia (como a ocho horas de la ciudad donde vivimos) pero ahora todos ellos viven aún más lejos, en USA.
Another movie theme that definitely gets under your skin is "Unchained Melody" from the film Ghost. I'm not usually a very sentimental person, but I can't deny that when I heard this song while watching the movie, I felt chills and even wanted to cry, especially at the end when only the melody plays. It's so full of emotion, and unless you lack empathy, you couldn't help but be moved, even to tears. By the way, it's been a long time since I've seen this movie. I think it's about time I rewatched them all; this post made me nostalgic.
Otro tema de película que sin duda cala hasta los huesos es UNCHAINED MELODY de la película GHOST. Yo no suelo ser una persona muy sentimental que digamos pero no puedo negar que cuando escuché esta canción al ver la película sentí escalofríos y hasta ganas de llorar, sobre todo al final cuando suena solamente la melodía, y es que está cargada de mucho sentimiento, y a menos que a uno le falte empatía no podría conmoverse, incluso hasta las lágrimas. ¡Por cierto! tengo mucho tiempo sin ver esta película, yo creo que va siendo hora de que las vuelva a ver todas, este post me produjo nostalgia.

What lovely memories you have of that first song – memories that will always come to mind and touch your heart whenever you hear it. It’s a shame that cinema no longer exists and has been left to fall into disrepair, but as you say, it will always remain in your memory.
I also have lovely memories of the film The Bodyguard and I love Whitney Houston’s singing. I remember renting that film on my 16th birthday. It was a great time for video clubs.
The last song and film are among my favourites; what a wonderful film dedicated to true love, and it really does stir up a lot of nostalgia. You’ve chosen three songs from lovely films, all romantic and destined to be timeless classics. Thank you so much for your lovely review, big hugs!!🤗

Sí, cada vez que paso por ahí me lleno de nostalgia, sobre todo porque pese a estar abandonado el cine conservo su estructura, incluso su fachada, la han conservado, aún guardo la esperanza de que en algún momento lo restauren.
En esos tiempos fue cuando surgieron las películas buenas de verdad, tan buenas que con el tiempo se volvieron clásicos y las melodías todavía las tarareamos y las conocen las nuevas generaciones.
Y cuantas buenas películas había, cuanto talento de actores.... la vieja escuela. Muchas gracias por estar aquí!
