Modest Heroes [Review] ESP/ENG
I am increasingly convinced that the world of animation has many positive messages to offer humanity, and that not all of them are aimed directly at children. which is something we often tend to think, at least I do, and perhaps for this reason I missed out on many gems like the one I am about to tell you about. It is a cocktail (so to speak) of three stories that, in my opinion, were designed to offer an important message to humanity, especially to adults. There are three stories, but I will talk about the two that impacted me the most, as I can honestly say that I did not connect with the first short film, although I have no doubt that it also aims to convey a valuable message.
Cada vez me convenzo más de que el mundo de la animación tiene muchos mensajes positivos que ofrecer a la humanidad, y que no en todos los casos están dirigidos a niños directamente, eso es algo que acostumbramos a pensar a menudo, al menos yo, y tal vez por esta razón me perdí de muchas joyas como esta de la que les hablaré a continuación, se trata de un cóctel (por llamarlo de alguna manera) de tres historias que en mi opinión fueron diseñadas para ofrecer un importante mensaje a la humanidad, en especial a los adultos. Son tres historias pero les hablaré de dos que fueron las que más me impactaron, ya que les puedo decir con toda sinceridad que no logré conectar con el primer cortometraje, aunque no dudo que igualmente pretenda transmitir un mensaje valioso,
This short film is called “Life Ain't Gonna Lose.” It is about a child who, from a very young age, has had to deal with a very strong and dangerous egg allergy, and on several occasions has even been on the verge of death due to carelessness. The mother has to divide her time between her job and caring for the child. The allergy is so severe that even the slightest contact with anything containing eggs could kill him due to an anaphylactic reaction, so obviously this has greatly reduced his quality of life. There have been many tense moments between mother and son because the whole situation obviously causes stress and confusion. He wants to be a child like any other, without fear, without having to check the labels on the products he consumes or the uncertainty that every day could be his last. The mother, for her part, has the same fears, but I think it is important to spread this message to generate empathy for people who, even though they look just like you or me and apparently have no problems, you don't know what he or she might be facing on a daily basis. At the same time, it is an invitation not to give up, that everything can be endured and overcome with love and patience.
Este cortometraje se llama "Life Ain’t Gonna Lose" en su traducción al español sería algo como "La vida no va a perder" se trata de un niño que desde muy pequeño ha tenido que lidiar con una fortísima y peligrosísima alergia al huevo, y en varias ocasiones incluso ha estado a punto de morir a causa de un descuido. La madre tiene que dividir su tiempo entre su trabajo y los cuidados del niño, la alergia es tan fuerte que el más mínimo roce con algo que contenga huevo podría matarlo a causa de una reacción anafiláctica, así que obviamente esto le ha restado mucha calidad de vida. Muchas veces surgieron momentos tensos entre la madre y el hijo porque obviamente toda esa situación genera estrés y confusión, él desea ser un niño como los demás, sin temor, sin tener que revisar las etiquetas de los productos que consume o la incertidumbre de que cada día podría ser el último, la madre por su parte tiene los mismos temores, pero pienso que es importante difundir este mensaje para generar empatía con las personas que, aunque luzcan igual que tú o yo, y aparentemente no tienen ningún problema, no sabes lo que podría estar enfrentando él o ella a diario, al mismo tiempo es una invitación a no dejarse vencer, que todo se puede sobrellevar y superar con amor y paciencia.
And the second short film that caught my attention is called “Invisible.” It tells the story of a man who suddenly becomes invisible. Everyone ignores his presence, no one appreciates his efforts, and they don't even realize he's there. Sometimes he was even on the verge of dying because he was so light that if he wasn't carrying something heavy with him, the wind would blow him away. That's why I think it's the darkest of the three short films, because it reflects the way some people perceive their own lives, whether at work or in their daily lives, as if no effort had any value for the rest of humanity. But that lightness could also mean that nothing really ties you to this world, and his invisibility could convey the message that just because others don't see you doesn't mean you're not valuable. You know who you are and how much you're worth, regardless of whether others recognize it or not. On the other hand, I am surprised by the animation because even though we cannot see the character's facial expressions, we can perceive all of his emotions.
Y el segundo cortometraje que llamó mucho mi atención se llama "Invisible" Nos muestra la historia de un hombre que de un momento a otro se vuelve invisible, todos ignoran su presencia, nadie agradece sus esfuerzos, ni siquiera se dan cuenta de que él está allí, algunas veces hasta estuvo a punto de morir porque era tan ligero que si no cargaba algo pesado con él, el viento se lo llevaba, por eso creo que es el más sombrío de los tres cortometrajes, porque refleja la manera en que algunos perciben su propia vida, bien sea laboral o cotidiana, como si ningún esfuerzo tuviera valor para el resto de la humanidad, pero también esa ligereza podría significar que nada te ata a este mundo realmente, y su invisibilidad pudiera dar el mensaje de que el hecho de que otros no te vean no significa que no vales, tu sabes quien eres y cuanto vales, independientemente de que otros lo reconozcan o no. Por otra parte me sorprende la animación porque a pesar de que no vemos las expresiones faciales del personaje podemos percibir todas sus emociones.
Watching these short films with such a profound message helped me feel more grateful for the life I have had. In fact, life itself brings challenges, and many of them help us grow as people. However, there are those who face much more difficult situations than the rest of us.
Ver estos cortometrajes con un mensaje tan profundo me ayudó a sentirme más agradecido por la vida que he tenido, de hecho la vida por si sola trae retos y muchos de ellos nos ayudan a crecer como personas, sin embargo hay quienes tienen situaciones mucho más difíciles que el resto.

Uff sí, la verdad es que estos cortos son tremendas joyas de la animación japonesa. Mi favorito fue invisible, por su gran profundidad y su mensaje de como la sociedad trata a algunas personas. Muy buena review
