'Vikings', a drama series had been in my Watchlist for many years but somehow I was not able to watch it. But recently I had binge watched this magnificent series and this one completely surprised me and definitely a underrated series on internet.

Previously I had a notion that this series resembles somewhere 'Games of Thrones' which halted my curiosity for this series. I somehow got bit excited after watching 'Travis Fimmel' in HBO Max series, Raised by Wolves.

Travis Fimmel aka Ragnar Lothbrok, the main character of Vikings is truly a cinematic delight where the character goes deep diving and will definitely put influence on its audience. Ragnar Lothbrok rises from a simple farmer and raider but owning to his audacity and ambitious personality, first bacame an earl and then goes on becoming a king.

The series is roller coaster ride of savage battle, emotions, friendship and family all under the religious kinship and their belief in their gods. Driven by sustainability and prosperous future, the Vikings raided far west place like England and France through sea.

The character building and character evolution of this series is also brilliant. The script lays significant focus on each character giving proper space to make strong emotion to its viewers.

Katheryn Winnick aka Lagertha, wife of Ragnar, a shield maiden is a strong and fearless woman who has honour and pride in herself. Just like her husband, she also sets her ambitions high and became an earl after seperating from Ragnar. Eventually her hunt for pride and respect for herself lead her to sit on the throne of Ragnar and became the Queen.

The series has a total of 89 episodes span through 6 seasons with each episode has average run-time of 50 mins. The mind-blowing battle sequences and raw aggression of ancient wars is the hallmark of this Saga. The ruthless aggression of Vikings and their exceptional heroics in battle is a cinematic delight in the many series of wars throughout the show.

In conclusion, the show is ultimate blend of Heroics, Love, Friendship, Betrayal, Power and survival. A great star cast with brilliance script work and the strong hold of writers and directors on the soul of the show is best reflected on screen. Although I had binge watched this series in almost 3 weeks, I would prefer to enjoy this thrilling series with ease for better experience.

OMG how did you come up with this? 😧 I so much love "Vikings" and still can't get over it. My favorite characters are Ragnarok, Lagertha, Bjorn, Ivar the Boneless, Ubbe, The priest (Athelstan) and last but not the least Floki (I like Rollo Ragnarok brother, I guess his fighting skills). These guys gave me joy I won't lie. The fighting scenes were tensive and the acting skills were professional. I didn't proceed with "Vikings Valhalla" because I didn't see the people that were on it in the Season 1, so i took a break I don't know if I'm going to like the season 2 anyways.

I like the first seasons but eventually I lost interest toward the end.

It can be a bit exaggerated series for many but you could watch always watch skipping the dull and interesting scenes ☺️ !LUV !PIZZA

When Ivan the broken started flying over the kingdom I called it quits. It looked more like Harry potter than Vikings.

Excellent post.

I actually am a big fan of the series however I feel it really went downhill there at the end. And then there's supposed to be a reboot of the entire thing that was good and really really really bad...

Excellent post and thank you very much for sharing!

I would absolutely love to welcome you to that Free Complements community!
