Große Veränderung in der Medienwelt. Ab 2029 wird die Oscars-Zeremonie exklusiv nur noch auf YouTube gestreamt, frei für alle zugänglich. Damit endet eine Jahrzehnte lange Partnerschaft mit ABC, die bis jetzt die Oscars im Fernsehen live gesendet haben.
Denke, dass bis dahin vielleicht auch die Diskriminierung von Streaming- und Netflix-Filmen im Vergleich zu Kinofilmen ein Ende haben wird, da Streaming immer wichtiger wird.
Bis jetzt gibt es bei den Oscars eine umstrittene Regel, die Kinofilme gegenüber Netflix und Fernsehfilme bevorzugt.
Damit ein Film bei den Oscars nominiert werden darf, muss er in einer der sechs großen US-Städte (LA, NYC, Bay Area SF, Chicago, Dallas area oder Atlanta) mindestens drei mal am Tag im Kino gezeigt worden sein, wobei eine Vorführung im Hauptabendprogramm (18 bis 22h) stattfinden muss.
Mit dieser Regel werden moderne Filmproduktionen für Streaming ausgeschlossen und Kinofilme bewusst bevorzugt, wobei diese Grenze im Netflix-Zeitalter immer mehr verschwimmt. Oft übertreffen Netflix-Produktionen bereits die Qualität und das Budget von Kinofilmen.
Der Shift zu YouTube spiegelt diese Entwicklung wider. Wer weiß, vielleicht wird es bis 2029 bereits den ersten Oscar-reifen KI-generierten Film auf YouTube geben.
Kino und das lineare Fernsehen könnten in Zukunft noch mehr an Bedeutung verlieren.

Some two or three weeks ago, in fact. I have a bunch of art cinemas I love to go for movies. This last one was in Bucharest, though, and we went for Die Hard :)) Xmass vibes, I know :)
haha, xmas vibes indeed :D I haven't been to the movies in a long time, don't see the need atm when having so much content online, but the experience is of course different in the movies. More of a social experience also, but tickets got quite expensive also.
Some movies are better in a company, particularly in a nice, artsy cinema :)

Kostspielig, oh ja teils leider. Das Rad der Zeit war wohl zu kostspielig, so dass es trotz Erfolg eingestellt wurde 🤬

Ich versuche schon nur alte Serien zu gucken, die viele Staffeln haben.
Die Kinoregel wurde schon am Anfang eingeführt, um Kinofilme auszuzeichnen. Mittlerweile gibt es aber Workarounds, eigenes Geschäftsmodell/Dienstleistung, um Streaming-Filme im Kino aufzuführen, damit diese dann für die Oscars qualifiziert werden.

War schon jahrelang nicht mehr im Kino. Was Oscar macht und wer einen bekommt, kümmert mich nicht; ist wie bei dem Euro-Songcontest, manipuliert bis zum Gehtnichtmehr.
Ist wohl immer ein Problem bei Preisverleihungen, dass diese irgendwie manipuliert werden. Beim Song Contest gibt es angeblich Bot Farmen, die das Publikumsvoting manipulieren. Auch die Regeln sind so gestaltet, dass Bots mehr als eine Stimme pro Rufnummer abgeben dürfen.

It's exactly like this, now the time for TV is over and no one watches TV. Everyone has a mobile phone and YouTube. We can watch everything live there. And it will be a great success of social media in the coming time when this happens.
I think it makes sense for it to be on Youtube. I think that the money is the biggest factor, and I don't know if ABC still wants to pay that much for it when it might not be that profitable.
Das war mir neu und erscheint wirklich ziemlich veraltet. Heutzutage ist das als Kriterium eher kaum geeignet.
