What Movie to Watch with Vin Diesel?

Yesterday night, I watched two movies with Vin Diesel...

For starters, The 2021, one hour animated flick: "Southpark Post Covid". It made me laugh several times, even though it's not that far from the truth and probably hard to enjoy for many of us.

This was followed by a mediocre Marvel film, titled "Venom - Let There be Carnage" (2021).

The latter was pretty forgettable, but just entertaining ( by lack of a better word ) enough to not fall asleep.

Now you might ask yourself:

Is Vin Diesel acting in those movies he mentioned? I don't remember this to be the case...

Now it wouldn't have been too farfetched to see him acting in a Marvel flick and - to be honest - he might even show up in a Southpark episode, every now and then, but, to answer your question:

He isn't making his appearance in the two aforementioned flicks.

You might also have wondered if V.D. was actually sitting in my room, yesterday eve, watching these movies with me and having a laugh or pinching my hand or biting his nails, while watching Venom.

I have to disappoint you there too

That is, if you actually like the guy and think he is cool and are into famous people and all that stuff.

No, I am not hanging out with the actual Vin Diesel, but with a guy who calls his van 'Vin Diesel'. A guy who is called Vincent like me and almost the same age.

And in case you missed the story behind this, you can find it in my earlier write ups: I Hung out with Vin Diesel today and I hung out with Vin Diesel again.

Vin Diesel and I are about to watch another movie ( or two ) tonight and this time I will make sure to pick something that I will enjoy more than the titles mentioned above.

Okay, Southpark made us laugh several times but - let's be honest - Covid humor is pretty much black humor and - as it's very close to the truth - it's a little less enjoyable than the average black comedy. Let's say that most of us are pretty fed up with it all

( and no, I'm not talking about being fed up with Southpark, after 23 years ).

As some people tend to say, about the last two years or so and I won't disagree with them:

It's like we're living ( in ) "Black Mirror" these days.

And, to add to that, it seems like we're approaching season 3, without an end in sight.

If you don't know about Black Mirror, I suggest you look it up, to get what I mean.

I just discovered that it was shown between 2011 and 2019. I guess it became reality afterward...

I am gonna cut it short here. I hope I made you laugh a little. As is usually the case with good jokes ( says my Ego ), there is always a layer of truth behind them.

I think that - tonight - Vin Diesel and I will be watching some entertaining 1980s flick(s). In all honesty, I can't help but feel that the 1980s were funnier times, at least movie wise. Laughter is usually guaranteed, when watching a film from those days.

Perhaps movies were actually still made, back then, to counter the actual state of the world? ;<)

Yeah, Black Mirror is the new reality. I rewatched the series a while ago and was shocked by how many things seem completely reasonable to expect in the present society.

Anyway, you did make me laugh a little. I hope you guys enjoy tonight's movies and of course tell us all about it soon!

Abrazos.

I am glad that I did at least make you laugh a little bit. That is one of my aims in life, these days, to make people laugh ( even when I am talking about 'serious' or loaded topics )

Somehow I think an 80s romantic comedy would be his speed!

Haha!

We ended up watching an animated 80s flick titled Vampire Hunter D. I had seen two animated films with that title, from around 2000, but never this one.

I liked those newer ones better and I usually prefer the original.

I will have to check it out!

I suggest you check out Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust ( 2000 ) or watch the 1985 anime, first, as the newer one looks a lot better and is a lot faster. Watching them the other way around, might make the 1985 version kind of slow, boring and somewhat ugly.

P.s. I just found out that there was a video game named Vampire Hunter D, in 1999 :<)
