You know the social setting would make you think it was dark and harsh, which it is in actuality, but the way the main girl's inner thoughts narrates and the comedy makes it almost forgettable 😆 , but then you have to think as bad as the hardships were then, that was their reality everyday in that era, they only did their best to live and take things as they go.
