Cine TV Contest #101: Warm Bodies (2013): Comedy Horror | Romance Movie

It's another movie review for today and this is about zombies but with a twist of romance and comedy. It's not just a typical horror movie but there are full of comedy, action, and even romance. It was released last 2013, it's an old movie but I'm pretty sure that it might suit your taste if you love romance and comedy movie. It is directed by Jonathan Levine.

I saw this movie when I was studying on my bachelor's degree because one of my friends recommend and talked to me about it and he said that it was really awesome to watch. I tried to watched it at night and to my surprise it is really good that I also recommend this to my other friends.

This is a story about a plagued that happened in their world and many people has become infected by it. and There are Boneys that is the last phase of becoming a zombie that its emotions has been taken away and also your skill will peel off. You will become a zombie first before you become a boney. A zombie boy met a girl while he was eating a dead person and saw this girl and fell in love.

R (protagonist) is a wandering undead who walk around an airport and he is always craves for human flesh. I love how R (protagonist) portrayed as a zombie in this zombie movie and his heart beats for the first time when he saw a beautiful lady (Julie) in front of him. R is one of the people that has been infected by a plagued but through the years and became an undead with other infected people. He helps Julie to get out from these zombies that are coming from her. It also changes his heart a little bit while helping Julie to get out from the undead people. Maybe when he saw her, he loves at first sight.

I like the part when Julie and R jumped from a tall building because they were trapped by Boneys and they get down into the pool and they kissed each other and that's the time that R became a human again but these soldiers didn't believe in him and shoot him, they realized that he is really human after they hit him with a rifle below his shoulder and poured a red blood.

This is one of the movies that I can't forget up until now because of their acting skills that has a big impact and it is like they do that in a normal way not just a script that they are trying hard to copy all of it. When I saw this movie for the first time, I thought that I will be horrified because it is a horror one but I was wrong, I was laughing the whole time and happy for them at the end.

I can say that we can also apply this story in our life not because becoming a zombie but for the love. Even if we have different races or cultures, we can fall in love and time won't tell if when and where but it will eventually come. Sometimes, you need to give a big effort to have a positive result and that's what R risked even if he is a zombie because his heart change the moment he saw this girl.

If you never watched this before, I would like to recommend this movie because I'm pretty sure you will also laugh when you watch this movie.
